well well well, I pondered a long time before chosing which lineart to color, but the cockatrice seemed more fun and pattern-friendly :D

it's based on a french rooster (gallus gallus) and a type of python couldn't find, but Morelia is the latin name of the python-type snakes~
also, there's no shading, just a sh*t ton of gradients and pattern :D

I was paranoidal of getting disqualified, so I removed all sparkles in the final version and made gradient as smooth and flat as I could, only default free instruments/brushes of GIMP were used for this entry.

Hopefully none of the colors are a bit too dark or too bright. Maybe they're just right.
I wanted to do a wine kind of color, but then ended up with this toxic theme... Don't let your wine age until it's not so fine, guys.

Cockatrices always seemed a bit stuck up and holier-than-thou to me, so I thought giving them a purple colour scheme was fitting, since it used to be considered the colour of royalty.
