"Phantom back off!" Chadley warned stepping towards him. "Glaciem assigned him this position and even Laxus suggested him to take her place. You can't say he got this role because he was "lucky"!
"He only got it because he was conveniently by Laxus this morning! If only I had been there it probably would have been me!" Phantom growled.
"You don't understand everything that happened then..." Sirius said quietly.
"What did you say?!"
"You act too quickly because you let your emotions take over..." Sirius said a little louder.
"Who said you had the right to tell me-"
"Phantom!" Chadley hissed. "Is this because of Violet?"
"Violet?" Sirius questioned with a small smile.
"What? W-why would it be about h-her?" Phantom said glaring at Sirius.
"You know what I'm talking about," Chadley spoke coldly.
"I am concerned about her injury..."
"Stop acting clueless!"
"Fine! I am mad about it!"
"Why are you taking it out on Sirius then? I'm the one who's coming between you two."
Sirius was intrigued by this conversation since he'd been noticing the love triangle between the three dragons, but this wasn't really the time to be fighting over Violet.
"Guys I think that maybe-"
"I have problems with him too! It just so happens that I feel like solving some of these issues now since we're alone!"
"This is why Violet won't ever like you," Chadley spat. "You're hot-headed and don't think just like Sirius said earlier."
"How dare you say that! Vio-"
"Violet has never seen you like this because you always put on an act around her! You're not even being yourself!"
"Just shut up already! Violet knows me! I've always been there for her!"
"No, you haven't!"
"Tch! You haven't either!"
"Guys stop fighting this isn't the time to be doing this!" Sirius commanded. "We need to finish the patrol or return home if you two keep this up." Sirius flicked his tail impatiently. These dragons were beginning to bug him because of how disrespectful they were to Violet and each other.
"And you need to stop acting all high and mighty! I can't be around you idiotic dragons! I might catch it!" Phantom screeched angrily before running deeper into the forest.

"What now?" Luna asked as they traveled south. "Shouldn't we be going to the western borders to warn the clans there?"
"We need to drop by and tell Crustallus we've finished our assignment first, then pick up another so we can keep track," Earnest replied.
"Three days' work, all in one day. I'd say that's pretty efficient," Lux said proudly.
Celeste smiled. They were going to finish their tasks in no time. But what would they do once they finished? Would her group be split up? Celeste childishly worried that the next job would be boring, but then chided herself for complaining. Her jobs weren't nearly as hard as some others in the clan.
"What do you guys think we're going to do once we finish warning the clans?" Celeste asked aloud. "Is our group going to be split up once we've completed everything?"
The rest of the group was silent.
It seemed that nobody knew.

Sirius signed as Phantom stormed off away from them. He was walking away from the Horizon Clan which was causing Sirius to worry. I don't think any dragon should be left alone during these dangerous times, but he needs to clear his head.
"I'm sorry about that Sirius...I should have known better then argue with him this morning," Chadley apologized as he shuffled around awkwardly.
"You shouldn't be fighting so much...It's Violet's choice to choose who she wants to love." Sirius advised. "Don't ruin your chances while being blinded by competition." Chadley nodded his head respectfully at the advice.
"Thanks, Sirius...I think I'm going to head back to the Clan...I don't think it's a good idea to keep going with just the two of us."
"Okay I'll come back too, but I just need a moment to myself."
"Okay, but don't be alone for too long..." Chadley said casting a glance over to where Phantom had disappeared.

The group of messengers drew near to the clan, still in silence. When they saw the landmarks showing they were near to their home, they came to a stop. Earnest was first to break the silence.
"I guess we find out who and where the next clans are now..." Earnest said slowly. It sounded as though, for the first time, he didn't want to get his next assignment yet.
The group stayed silent.
Celeste felt a twinge of guilt for sharing her thoughts aloud. It seemed her new friends were feeling upset at the thought of splitting up already. She decided to break the silence and said, "Come on, guys. It'll be fine, so let's just go and get things done. Maybe we'll get a free day after tomorrow if we finish everything."
Slowly, everyone began walking again. Celeste heard footsteps approaching behind them, and she turned around in a rather paranoid manner. Relief overcame her when she saw that it was Chadley who was walking toward them. His head was down.
"Hi, Chadley," Celeste said, almost too quietly.
Chadley looked surprised, as if he'd been lost in his own thoughts. When he saw who was greeting him, he smiled. "Hey there, Celeste," he said as he passed by.
Celeste looked in the direction Chadley came from, and she saw Sirius standing alone. She could hear her group growing farther away.
I need to catch up to my team, Celeste thought. I don't have time to talk with anyone else right now. Celeste turned and slowly started walking again toward her home in the Horizon Clan.

I hope Phantom will be safe... Sirius thought to himself as he watched the spot Phantom had left from. I wonder what Violet thinks about these two. Does she like either one of them? Sirius was drawn away from his thoughts as the beating of wings approached nearby. Turning around Sirius spotted a figure disappear into the canopy of leaves. Sirius let out a low growl as footsteps came towards him from up in the trees.
"Do you not know how to greet an old comrade?" a rough male voice snickered.
"Who are you?" Sirius growled.
"Oh Sirius you used to be so much nicer, such a shame. Can't believe you actually got your wish sunny boy," the voice snarled as a black Imperial dragon climbed down a tree closest to Sirius.
Sirius gasped as he recognized the dragon's face. He was the deputy of the Shadow clan Sirius was born in. "Why are you here, Azazel?"
"I'm here to clean up a mess of a shadow dragon. One that craves the forbidden light." Azazel snapped as he lunged towards Sirius.

Celeste had only been walking for a few seconds when she heard Sirius cry out. She froze in her tracks and whipped around, feeling her blood run cold.
Sirius was struggling against a larger Imperial dragon, and he was losing.
"Sirius!" Celeste shrieked as she sprinted towards him. She knew she wouldn't make it in time if she ran, so she spread her wings and began to fly close to the ground as fast as she possibly could.

Sirius dodged the deputy's attack and raked his claws against his shoulder. Azazel quickly bit down on Sirius's front leg before ramming his head into his chest. Sirius staggered backwards as the wind was knocked out of him. Azazel seized the opportunity and lunged once again. Sirius was able to recover and block the incoming attack.
"If this light is forbidden to your clan, why did you come here?" Sirius hissed before breaking away from Azazel.
"I'm here on orders from Evaris, he granted me permission," Azazel sneered and stretched out his wings. "He would like to see you again."
"Well unfortunately I will not be able to meet with him," Sirius replied as he stretched out his own wings, but his attention was drawn to a streak of white coming straight towards the two dragons.

Celeste touched down and bit at the dark foe. Sirius swiped at Azazel as the deputy stumbled back in surprise.
Azazel stretched out his wings to retreat when he realized he would be overpowered, but then stopped and smiled behind Celeste. Celeste heard footsteps behind her and began to turn around when she felt something cold splash against her. She looked down at the sparkling gold liquid dripping down her leg as her eyes became too heavy to hold open, and her legs too weak to support her. Sirius called out her name as she collapsed to the ground.
Azazel grabbed Sirius from behind and held him there. The second enemy walked towards them, holding onto the bottle containing a small remaining amount of the potion that had been used on Celeste.
Sirius easily broke free of Azazel's hold and began to run.
He didn't run fast enough, he realized as he felt just a few droplets hit his wing. Sirius fell to the ground as the world went dark.

Sirius jolted awake with a gasp. Memories of what had happened before he had passed out came crashing back. He frantically glanced around the dark room, but there was no Celeste to be found. He tried to stand up, but heavy chains held him in place. He tried to bite the metal, but there was another chain around his neck. Sirius hissed at his foolishness. How could I let this happen? Who knows what they are doing to Celeste... Why did they even come after me? I can not be that important... He struggled against the chains again and again. Letting out a growl of frustration Sirius stopped and dug his claws into the black stone floor. Faint footsteps began to make their way closer and closer to the room. Sirius glared at the door as it opened to reveal a very pleased Azazel.
"Ah you are awake! Just in time for me to check in on you, how nice," he chuckled before placing his face right in front of Sirius's. "Our clan leader was overjoyed to know that you accepted his invitation. He would love to see you as soon as possible!"
Sirius growled and headbutted Azazel before being chocked by the chain. "He is not my clan leader and I did not accept anything!" Sirius spat. Azazel quickly grabbed Sirius's snout with unsheathed claws and growled, "You will not speak to your deputy that way again! Especially when I have the power to take away your life!" Azazel let go of Sirius's, now bloody, snout and turned towards the door. "You will be escorted to the leader's den soon," he spoke sharply before exiting the room.
