My apologies for the delay. The invisible ink incident escalated into an all out prank war, and I’m just now finding the time to write to you all. I knew taking in that troublemaking alchemist would come back to bite me! After the invisible ink incident, I got him back with slipping something in his food that turned his tongue a hideous shade of green; this of course led to him to put itching powder in my armor and - Oh dear, I’ve rambled on far too long about that, haven’t I?
I sincerely hope that this Circus has been a good one for you all! We as a Flight have worked hard, and I’m sure Mother is most pleased with our efforts. I’ve seen even more eager Exaltees headed to the Forum since my last letter, both young and old alike. In fact, I saw all sorts of dragons traveling to our Mother, not just those native to these woods. You wouldn’t believe how many future Exalts I saw accidentally run into trees! I can’t be too harsh on them though: adjusting to a new region is...difficult. Mother loves her children equally, and I’m sure these new Exalts will adjust to their new lives rather quickly.
Our Circus may be coming to a close, but I know that we made our Mother proud indeed. On behalf of our Flight, I’d like thank you for supporting us; whether you helped around the Circus running one of our countless events and attractions or helped bolster the Shadowbinder’s numbers, your aid was invaluable.

I’ve been informed that sneezing is a common greeting amongst friends and family in the Abiding Boneyard. Why those Exalts think I’m a friend of theirs is beyond me; regardless, getting that stain out of my coat was less than pleasant, I assure you. I have no idea how widespread the Trickmurk Circus festivities are in the Abiding Boneyard, but here in the Tangled Wood the celebration has been massive. All the celebrations have been rather loud for my tastes, but I would be lying if I said they weren't enjoyable to a degree.
Now, your kin that I’ve delivered to the Shadowbinder for Exaltation have been eagerly helping Her with any sort of task they’ve been given since they’ve arrived at the Forum of the Obscured Crescent. It’s no secret that natives of the Abiding Boneyard are fine warriors, and it appears that this group I guided were no exception. Only a [i]fool[/i] would go up against a God during their Festival when their power is at it's peak, but still this lot were insistent on guarding the Shadowbinder with every fiber of their beings. I’m sure the Shadowbinder is both amused and pleased with their dedication, and didn’t seem to be taken aback when a fair amount of them sneezed on her in greeting. Good on [i]Her[/i] for having more patience than me.
I’ve been told to thank everyone in the Abiding Boneyard who has helped out the Shadow Flight this Circus: your contributions have been [i]most[/i] welcome. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have plenty of notes regarding some of the mutagens and illnesses I encountered from the group of Exalts I guided through the Woods that I’m [i]very[/i] eager to study. It is a pleasure to be writing you again, and I have the most delightful news to share. When you last heard from me, we were in the midst of preparations for our festival and welcoming a steady stream of dragons from your region as they began their journey to our mother. Now, I do say they have gone ahead on their way. Alas, as I myself have business unfinished, I settled for sending the lot of them off with well wishes as our paths parted just this morning.
I am certain that they will face a warm welcome indeed at their final destination. The Shadowbinder cares for all her children, but I am inclined to believe that she holds a certain fondness for those most mischievous and clever. Those dragons you sent us certainly, ah, fit that bill quite well. My rapid farewell last time was brought on by a sudden lightness to the Tangled Wood. I daresay they had a bit too much fun tending the glowshrooms here, for as I returned to them… Our pleasant murk had become so bright by the sheer overwhelming number of glowshrooms that most of us were immediately blinded. The unsuspecting local shadow dragons were scrambling and bumping into each other with alarming frequency. I myself only had a few moments to observe the craze before the luminosity overcame me as well. One unfortunate wildclaw was caught in the chaos and sat upon by a dazed guardian…
Oh! But I assure you it was all in good spirit, and the wildclaw’s slight flatness is surely a temporary phase. He was looking much more himself when he was sent along this morning. My point, anyways, was that we all had a fine laugh once the glowshrooms were dispersed and the limbs untangled. Some goggles and glasses went a long way towards blocking the shine until the heaps of glowshrooms could be carted off. Wouldn’t you know it, but all the colors from the light were actually quite enchanting while they lasted. We will certainly look back fondly on the incident, and I do say we have a supply of glowshrooms large enough to last until the next Trickmurk. We simply cannot thank you enough for joining us in our festivities, and I assure you that your fellow dragons from Nature will be well-tended under our mother’s watch.[/color]

Our Dear Neighbors in Nature
It is a pleasure to be writing you again, and I have the most delightful news to share. When you last heard from me, we were in the midst of preparations for our festival and welcoming a steady stream of dragons from your region as they began their journey to our mother. Now, I do say they have gone ahead on their way. Alas, as I myself have business unfinished, I settled for sending the lot of them off with well wishes as our paths parted just this morning.
I am certain that they will face a warm welcome indeed at their final destination. The Shadowbinder cares for all her children, but I am inclined to believe that she holds a certain fondness for those most mischievous and clever. Those dragons you sent us certainly, ah, fit that bill quite well. My rapid farewell last time was brought on by a sudden lightness to the Tangled Wood. I daresay they had a bit too much fun tending the glowshrooms here, for as I returned to them… Our pleasant murk had become so bright by the sheer overwhelming number of glowshrooms that most of us were immediately blinded. The unsuspecting local shadow dragons were scrambling and bumping into each other with alarming frequency. I myself only had a few moments to observe the craze before the luminosity overcame me as well. One unfortunate wildclaw was caught in the chaos and sat upon by a dazed guardian…
Oh! But I assure you it was all in good spirit, and the wildclaw’s slight flatness is surely a temporary phase. He was looking much more himself when he was sent along this morning. My point, anyways, was that we all had a fine laugh once the glowshrooms were dispersed and the limbs untangled. Some goggles and glasses went a long way towards blocking the shine until the heaps of glowshrooms could be carted off. Wouldn’t you know it, but all the colors from the light were actually quite enchanting while they lasted. We will certainly look back fondly on the incident, and I do say we have a supply of glowshrooms large enough to last until the next Trickmurk. We simply cannot thank you enough for joining us in our festivities, and I assure you that your fellow dragons from Nature will be well-tended under our mother’s watch.

Ahem. Just as I worried, the goop has had unforeseen consequences. Primarily, my appearance.. I didn't get the worst of it, not by far.. But I look so… so.. Ugh! Don't let the others of my kind see me. They'll say it's because of my wings, I just know it. I'm not a bad omen, I swear. These things just happen a lot! Erm, anyway.. It's best you know what your compatriots have caused. It's.. Harmless, but very strange. Aside from the.. [i]Eyes..[/i] The goop has caused other anomalies. I suppose you could call them magical pranks? Oh, and Our Dear Mother.. Her majesty.. She's..
Right, I should explain. First off.. These silly eyes have popped up. They feel very.. Strange, and it's hard to see when my pupils follow gravity and wobble about constantly. Not everyone has been affected by this, however. Instead, many have gained cascading glitter shedding from their wings. Your folk speculate that it's a way for the magic to leave their system. Those less fortunate have become entirely sparkly. They're rather hard to look at, especially the yellow and orange ones. They're like living firecrackers! However, none of your kin are bothered. In fact, they seem.. Used to this? Is this a common activity of your flight, to eat unknown substances just to see what happens? I don't think my heart could take it.
Oh, but even worse.. Our poor forest is in shambles. Suddenly, everyone is craving plants.. Mirrors, eating ivy! Have you ever seen such a thing? I have, with my googly eyes. They ate them like they were fresh squirrels. There's a procession of poor dragons eating what they can almost frantically. The children that ate the glowshrooms became the opposite, craving meat desperately. Their drool is glowing and everything! I don't believe I'll ever be the same. I suppose this is what you call a transformative experience.. If only it didn't cost so many leaves and trees we use for cover from the light.
But, Our Mother.. Yes, that's right. She was affected the worst of all. Not only are her eyes like mine, but her glorious deep body is now a shimmering violet.. And her drool sinks into the ground, making mushrooms sprout from it. Everywhere she goes, the drool and sparkles leave a brilliant trail. She's taking it in surprisingly good humor, but I don't know how she stands it. That pink crystal was from somewhere very radioactive and very close to the Arcanist, apparently. By combining the crystal and Mother's drool, the goo was full of colliding magic.. With various effects. Your adults are very excited by this and want to perform more experiments. Frankly, I don't know if I can take any more of this.
Now, I must go find the children.. Their game of hide and seek has gone on too long. Oh, something just bumped my leg! Yet I can't see anything. Don't tell me.. The scale paint turned them invisible? This is too much. This had better be useful somehow. Thank you for your contributions, but perhaps next year.. You could hold back some of your more manic scientists?[/color]

Those little things have stumbled into a beastclan territory, so we are currently on a rescue mission to save them! They will probably be fine after all, fire dragons are strong.

Now speaking of those dragons, I have just received word that Chamalis and the others have just managed to arrive back safely from their rescue mission, the dragons are now safe back with mother thanks to dragons exalted here.

Greetings Light Flight!
I hope you've all been enjoying the festival as much as Shadow has! Nothing makes me happy like Pinecones hidden in the shadows, waiting to be found and taken home as souvenirs remembering this most shady of times.
Oh, my predecessor you ask? Don't worry about them too much; they are doing fine. They're just a bit... glowy. It turns out the secret ingredients in the tea your flight mates made were glowshrooms and glowflies. I also heard rumors about some Arcane tea plants thrown in according to an old recipe. When I asked as to the purpose of their tea, I was told that it was meant to brighten any dark day.
Judging from the way my friend now glows every time they hiccup, I dare say it was a smashing success.
Everyone has settled in nicely and the brightness of Light adds a lovely dimension to the beautiful dark shades that are dominant in this area. We can't have Shadows without a bit of Light after all!
The haunted house became a bit less scary after the intervention of the new Light dragons, though it only was for the best. Sometimes it's hard to find a balance and our pranks might have been a bit much for others who aren't used to such shenanigans.
Please tell auntie Glitter that we're keeping the Haunted House around for when she decides to visit, and once she's gone through it, delicious glowing tea and shadowy cookies await her to conclude the festival in style.

My sincerest apologies about ending the last letter so abruptly, so let’s start with an explanation. Surely you'll remember the...'harmless' artifact that windies were using to play with glowshrooms, yes? As it turns out, it merely was lacking use: after it got warmed up, one of the windies managed to bring an entire thicket of brambles to life and...well, you can imagine how that went. No one got injured, fortunately (well no worse than the [i]other[/i] bramble incident, anyway), so again there is nothing to regret. I will say however, that I shake at the thought of having to deal with so many troublemakers; how do you do it? Don't answer me, I'm sure you think the same of our shadowlings, and now I feel terribly sorry for the ones we've sent you over the years.
Some good and some troubles did come from this situation, though: windies are generally more leery of playing with brambles now, which is the good thing. No more picking thorns. On the flipside, this has turned them into prime prank targets for our shadowlings. Now, whenever a shadow hatchling wants to trick a windie, they simply sneak up on their clueless victim and brush a loose piece of bramble over their back to send the poor dragon screaming. It's a riot to witness, really, but Mother's had to crack down on these kinds of pranks before they got out of control. Nonetheless, it's become something of a new household staple in the Woods. Many a dragon will grin and chuckle thinking about the night of the living bramble, and many more, especially close friends, will jokingly threaten each other with its resurrection.
So, again, thank you for your support during our preparations for Trickmurk, and for giving us another story we will never forget![/color]
