Dragons came from every region to experience the Observatory. Those who only heard stories would sit in awe, eyes glued to the cosmos above, whether peering through a telescope or enjoying the planetarium. Apollo was different, he wasn't here to enjoy the sights. Visiting the Observatory was like a chore for him. He never gave himself enough time to enjoy it, merely whizzing in and out with whatever he needed - whether it be a book from the small library, a spare part for something back at the lair, or the current position of whatever star or planet he was watching. Today was no exception, he was here to grab a book and that was that.
As the only scholar of his clan, Apollo had a lot on his shoulders. Sure, there were fighters, who could teach the hatchlings how to defend the clan, but without Apollo they would lose their Arcane instinct, the hunger for knowledge that many of them shared. He took great pride in what he did, even though his clan was currently home to only a handful of hatchlings - he was okay with that, it meant more one-on-one time. They looked up to him, often asking about the constellations. One young dragon even asked him how weather worked, and Apollo had a lot of fun explaining.
The Observatory was oddly busy today, more so than usual. He had to think a moment, wondering if maybe he forgot about a comet passing by or meteor shower. He pushed the thought aside, confident that there was nothing of importance happening today, he just decided to visit at a bad time.
He slipped into the small library, bursting at the seams with books about the cosmos. This particular room of the Observatory was quieter, less populated, since most of the attraction was in the telescope itself. Apollo took a moment to relish in the silence, scanning the rows upon rows of books.
