I love seeing new UM accents pop up in the auction house but that happens less and less these days. I want to help new artists get their foot in the door as accent makers! I will judge based on quality, creativity and personal preference. [b]2nd Place Accent:[/b] You will receive a 5 pack accent blueprint. I will allow my tumblr followers to judge and choose a winner out of my pick of 6 candidates. [b]Referrals:[/b] You don't have to be an artist to participate! Users who refer artists and friends will receive points. You can also receive points by being active in the thread. These winners will receive their choice of the 3 above accents. oh this is awesome!! :D ive never published an accent before but i have a (highly unsuccessful) accent shop already set up- can i still join? and is there any specific theme we need to adhere to or is it just any that we can think of?

I'd definitely love to enter, [s]I'll fill this post as soon as I can [/s] Accent 1: Purple Filigree This started as just a warm up to get used to the type of drawing I'd want to do for accents, being aware of the lines and shadows and all, but I really like how it turned out! Purple is a very soothing colour and I'm an absolute sucker for drawing swirls (I doodle them on scraps of paper all the time) so here we are, first entry! [img]https://s20.postimg.org/e5eaui9pp/307.png[/img] [img]https://s20.postimg.org/g0e48yfn1/309.png[/img] [img]https://s20.postimg.org/z3p26byy5/308.png[/img] Accent 2: Gilded Songbird I wanted to try making something more elaborate than the last one and SDs always struck me as very beautiful and birdlike, similar to the birds kings used to keep in golden cages. I first started by drawing a few markings in gold, then in changed to fiddling with the underbelly and shadow colours, and finally I added the jewelry :) [img]https://s20.postimg.org/lyjphzu7h/327.png[/img][img]https://s20.postimg.org/icdw5cnu5/325.png[/img][img]https://s20.postimg.org/uczc62v8t/324.png[/img] Accent 3: Lock and Key Keys are one of my favourite objects to draw so I decided to make a skin involving them and of course you can't have a key without a lock, hence the chains and padlocks.
