Offering got very attached to her name when she was a hatchling, not that it was intended to be a name by any stretch, it was just a descriptor since she was offered by another clan. Unfortunately she grew up with a backwards understanding of her name and thinks the things she wants in life are simply... offered to her. She has enough sense to be sneaky about her straight-up thievery though.

Dor lets Ankuroth think it's her crew because it's easier on the Guardian that way. She won't tell anyone what her Charge is, but her friends are pretty sure it has something to do with the thievery. Anyone who assumes she focuses on the cyber aspect because she's too big to sneak around has never seen Dor when she wants to get into something, and that's the whole point.

The problem ensues when the grandiosity of the plan overstretches what the crew can do. Invariably, the arrogant Pearlcatcher blames her compatriots for this, but she always finds a way to bail them out.
