(I'm sorry, but as a creative writing major I can't help but go gaga over this. To see so many people not only care about, but preform well in haiku makes me happy. You guys are doing good! The only thing I want to say is that some here have written pseudohaikus [that's not an insult though, just another form] which invoke a more modern or artificial image than traditional haiku. The subject of death is tricky. Write about death by nature or natural causes, you have a more natural image. Death by gun or sword fight invokes a more artificial one. Keep that in mind, in regard to the form you want to write. But traditional or modern, these are awesome!)
