I'm trying to train my fodder dragons and just got my lvl 25 dragon, when I win i'm not gaining any experience, what could I be doing wrong? I may be a silly but I thought that was how you leveled them continuously

You do. You should try the ghostlight ruins or the mire. I you only have one level 25 I suggest he ruins.
You need to train in a venu with a level high enough for a lvel 25 - the lower level venues will not give you any EXp anymore since its to easy to win there.
