Yes hello I just watched the Season 2 finale. Not as good as season 1, but still worth watching imo!

Who's your favorite character? Any ships? I ship Peggy with self-love and individuality but idk that's just me

Ok just one thing I'm a little upset with: (season 2 finale spoilers!)

Man, did they really kill off Jack Thompson at the very end? I wish I could have seen more of his character, it's interesting to see the choices he makes. Was he motivated by doing the right thing or by his own ambition? Little bit of both? What a fun character to see on screen, I'm sad that he's (probably) dead now....

I'm not blacking out spoilers, just FYI for anyone looking.

I did like the second season, but I agree it wasn't as good as the first. I had several issues with it. I am also somewhat upset that Jack might be dead-yeah, he wasn't what you'd consider to be 'good'; he straddled that line and it was interesting to see him plot and seem to double cross/have another plan in the making

Now grant it-I wasn't happy with how he was for most of the season as I felt that he took a step back in his character development. At the end of season one, he did have quite a lot of respect for Peggy, but for most of season two-but very much at the beginning, it was like that didn't happen.

I also felt that it was an interesting shocker, as it makes you wonder who that file is really about and what's in said file.

I like Peggy, Jarvis and Daniel. Oh and Ana and Rose as well. I liked the chemistry between them all-and not in a shipping sense. I wanted to like Jason, but I couldn't. They didn't know how to write him or what to do with him for most of the season. He could have been so much better than how he was!

@ashotinthedark

Haha, I've always liked morally-ambiguous characters! That's an interesting point you make with s2 Jack: now that you mention it, yeah he did kind of lose that respect for Peggy for a while...

I really liked Jason at first, yes! (First ep he was in? What a dork.) But as the season went on, I just couldn't really like him as much anymore... I understood the struggles his character had, but I wish there was more of that development with Jason instead of him spending a lot of time hanging around in the lab.

@breloominati

The problem I had with Jason is that they built him up...but didn't really go anywhere with it. I was all for a smart military vet working at a company with questionable things going on. They touched on why that was but didn't go further with it.

Would have been more interesting if they didn't have him intangible and barely doing anything for most of the season to deal further with and explore those issues. Explore that desperation that Daniel brought up-just instead of the zero matter stuff being the cause, the lack of opportunities the guy had due to his race would have been better. Or give him a chance to fight with Peggy, Daniel and others out in the field; possibly becoming an agent in his own right! Hell, they could have made him be one of the founding members of the future SHIELD too or part of that.

For God's sake, a lot of season one and some of season two dealt with the sexism Peggy faced with her work and they couldn't have made Jason and his issues more of something he'd have to deal with/prove himself too? Or any possible sexism he could have had towards Peggy?

Seriously, they dragged that out too long; he basically stood there looking pretty and for Peggy to have a love triangle with (which I also didn't like). Like I could see an episode or two of him being intangible, that would have been fine.

I honestly don't think they really knew what to do with him, other than make him a potential love interest. He could have been written out of the show entirely and things would have progressed just about the same.

When they tried to give him some development, it was too little too late and ended up being brushed off for the most part, because Peggy wasn't willing to let him be responsible for his actions, what with him threatening to blow her head off. Daniel did at least bring up that Jason was desperate, but then it led into Peggy and Daniel having an argument on having feelings and such while working . Or something like that.

He had such potential and was treated with kid gloves. Nothing too threatening, nothing really character building or anything. That's just sad.

I wasn't quite satisfied with the finale either- mostly with how Whitney was taken care of so easily. They invent another cannon, shot her, with it, bam. No more Zero Matter for you. Jason is normal again and he gets a job with Stark. Then Jack suddenly gets killed? I was hoping for a bit more than some mysterious guy shooting him out of the blue.
It just felt... A bit rushed, I'd say. They should have done the double episode for the finale instead of the previous two weeks.

Favorite character is definitely Jarvis. He's funny but he's got a ton of depth too.
Also for ships Peggy x Jarvis platonically ayyy

@EaterOfPie

I agree with that too-she was built up as being menacing due to her powers and even at the beginning of the final episode she's all ready to go and destroy Peggy and everyone else against her. Then she gets hit by Jarvis using his car and that's it. She becomes all obsessive and loses a lot of her menace. Then loses her powers in an underwhelming fashion. They couldn't have tried to fight her a bit or something?

They had issues pacing and trying to figure out what they wanted to do this season I think.

At least you walked a lonely road and gave it a friend.

@Fractures I dunno I you follow any of the articles or interviews with the producers, but I read somewhere that Jack isn't officially dead yet...

I have to agree with everyone who enjoyed the season (okay, I LOVED it) but didn't think it had the same impact as the first. Though that's just because the first had to be good on its own, and didn't have to mess with long-term plot devices.

I also really liked Wilkes in the first 2 episodes, but then he didn't really do much...so much unused potential for his character. I'm glad he made it out of the season alive and unharmed though, because he was darn cute in the finale (...I guess that's a spoiler, oh well) and they really didn't need that love triangle thing...but at least it ended okay.

Ships...I love the platonic relationships sooo much. From Jarvis & Peggy to Ana & Peggy or...like everyone & everyone else XD and the Jarvises are so adorable and I gotta say I was happy about Peggy getting with Sousa at the end

What did you guys think of that Musical? I think singing is the only acceptable way to confront love triangles.
