(Work in progress)

They had made it back to the Motel this night in one piece, and he had to say, at that moment a motel room had never looked so inviting. Sabin pushed the door shut with a long exasperated sigh, old and worn it screeched in protest closing forcefully with a clap. Taking stock of his companions there was Amun, Strider, Gideon, and of course, the girl Eliza present, they crossed the room finding comfort where they could, a bed, a couch or chair. The motel room was sparsely furnished, small, dirty and horribly outdated in retro geometric patterns hued in neutral browns tans and oranges, stained floor to ceiling with god-knows-what but it functioned just fine for their purpose. Luxury and comfort was not a goal currently despite numerous complaints from his fellow warriors.

"My god this place is awful, why can't we stay at the Boston Harbor Hotel?" or
"The Omni Parker House is nice, better than this sh*thole" the whining and moping was endless, like a bunch of children the whole lot of them despite being centuries old "Daddy" was the nickname they had so lovingly gave him.
Cameo and Kane were noticeably absent at the present time, but he had faith they would be returning shortly, wishing them silent victory in their endeavors. Sabin, the keeper of doubt turn eyes on the only mortal in the room then, a sheep among wolves it seemed. Like any apex predator he regarded her with silent ferocity, trapping her under the weight of an intense stare.
"Ok, who the f*ck are you?"
The events of the past thirty minutes prompted this inquisition. Taking a sharp turn down a Boston road, the Century Scroll slipped to the floor only to be retrieved by the mortal girl in the back seat. what happened next as almost unbelievable. The avian latch on the scroll snapped open allowing access to its holder. Hesitant to open it, almost aware of the immense power she held in her hands Eliza looked from the object to Sabin and Strider who had at this point turned their eyes on her.
"Huh? What are you talking about?" was the fearful response received
Sabin, impatient for answers and unwilling to ask any more questions turned then "Amun" was all he said, summoning his Companion from the other side of the room. Amun was the keeper of secrets, adorned in all black he moved wordlessly. There was knowledge in his purpose, without discussion he knew what he was summoned for. As the keeper of secrets, Amun was capable of reading thoughts, uncovering dark secrets and sifting through memories as if they were pages in a book.
"I need answers" Spoken in their native tongue
