North west XP Cheshire way .... Although not posh cheshire way sadly haha. Now where I am in North Wales is a substantial step down, but the cost of living is cheaper.
I am trying to brake into children's illustration. It's pretty hard going, but I had my first published book last year (I didn't write it). Most of the time I work to commission.

I am not a fan of Irn Bru, but I'm surprised to find out it's illegal in places. It's more of a Scottish thing then Welsh I think. I don't think we have a soft drink equivalent .... But we do have Welsh rarebit, which is much tastier (even if it is basically cheese on toast haha)
The Irn Bru ride in Blackpool is pretty goo tho!

That sounds cool though. Illustrating for an actual book is quite the achievement. I quite like writing myself. :)

Welsh rarebit is surprisingly a staple in my household. :) Easy to make.
I wouldn't consider North Wales a step down, it's pretty nice up there. I stayed in Y Felinheli (just outside of Caernarfon) on holiday a long time ago. Some might complain of its isolation but nowhere in the UK is far away from anything by Canadian standards.
