Hey, I keep trying new image hosting sites and stuff like the Imgur app, google images, imgbb, and every time I get the url and put it into the code to link it to my hatchery, it just shows up as the url alone, and not the photo. It still links, but I can’t use my hatchery banner.

@Lisreal
Paste your BBCode between [ code] these boxes [ /code] without the spaces. That will display the code as raw text, which makes it much easier for us to see what you're doing and diagnose the issue. Including any other details about the steps you're taking may also help.
Some common problems:
I know Imgur specifically tends to be a little finicky about giving you the actual image URL on mobile, so try adding a .png to the end of the Imgur link and see if that helps.

Some common problems:
- Make sure you're copying the direct image link, specifically. If you're copying the URL for an Imgur gallery page, for example, you're basically linking to a wall instead of the picture hanging on it.
- An image URL must end in the proper file extension (.png, .gif, or .jpg) in order for the code to recognize it as an image. If the link does not end in one of these extensions, it will not work as an image.
- Some websites intentionally prevent their images from being used in BBCode, though most of the sites you mentioned should work. However, Google Images is not a valid source (I don't recall if Google Drive works, either), since it's just showing you images that are actually hosted on other sites.

@NightmareJudge thank you much for helping. <3 But um, I’m still having newbie player problems.
Here’s what I did:
[code][url=https://www1.flightrising.com/forums/raf/3248751/1][img]https://imgur.com/a/UWtM3KR.png[/img][/url][/code]
As you can see on my signature, it shows a question mark instead of my photo, so clearly some difficulties goin’ on.

Thanks for the update! Are you positive you're using the correct URL? Trying to open the image in its own tab (even if I remove the .png) takes me to a 404 error page, which tells me the issue is more likely on Imgur's end. Try again with a different image?

Okay. Here.
[code][url=https://www1.flightrising.com/forums/raf/3248751/1][img]https://imgur.com/a/ESxm0ol.png[/img][/url][/code]
@NightmareJudge (sorry forgot to ping you till now)
I used the burning Elmo meme I happened to have in my camera roll for the test image.
If it helps, (this could be connected to the problem, maybe not) I deleted the post after getting the link despite it being hidden. However, I didn’t do this with the test image.

@Lisreal
Yes, that's part of the issue. You need to [i]keep[/i] the image hosted on Imgur (or whatever host you choose) in order to use it in BBCode. Deleting an image's post [i]will[/i] render the URL invalid, since you're linking to something that doesn't exist anymore.
Images being hidden simply don't show up for people browsing Imgur, unless they have that specific link to visit the image by itself. It keeps these images relatively private for you, while still leaving them available for BBCode or sharing among friends.
In this case, you seem to have hit on problem #1: you did add the file extension, but you're linking to the Imgur [i]gallery[/i] page, with the actual image post being a [url=https://i.imgur.com/mboznzI][u]different link entirely.[/u][/url]
[code]What you linked to
https://imgur.com/a/ESxm0ol
The actual image post
https://i.imgur.com/mboznzI[/code]
I only use Imgur via the website, so I'm afraid I can't give any insight to the app and its options for sharing images, and why it's giving you the wrong thing. I suggest searching for that information yourself, through whatever help forums or FAQs the app has.
Now, you might notice trying to add a .png to the end of the [i]proper[/i] link still doesn't work. I [i]did[/i] suggest adding a .png before, but I should clarify: you need to add the [i]correct[/i] file extension for that particular image, since .png, .gif, and .jpeg are distinct file types with different qualities.
I suggested .png since that's the most common file type used for images like hatchery banners. In this case, after copying the image URL for myself, Elmo is supposed to be a jpg (or jpeg - it's the same thing spelled differently, so both will work).

@NightmareJudge
Hey, um. I found out the reason I wasn’t getting the right link was because I was clicking on share and not holding on the actual post and pressing “get post link”
So I switched out the link and there was no more ? But instead… litterally white. Nothing. It didn’t show. Maybe it’s a size issue? Idk. Thank you for all your willingness to help btw.
Here’s my code

Glad you figured it out! The image works, all right, but you are indeed running into a size issue. More specifically, the maximum size for signatures is 525 pixels wide by 100 pixels tall (98px if using "columns" coding), and your banner is several times larger than that.
What's more, signatures are a little funny about multiple images in signatures. Because you have the Pearlcatcher plush there, the signature physically can't fit the banner next to it, so it pushes the second image down to the next "line" - which means it's completely invisible from our perspective.
You can use columns to force images side-by-side, but 1. again, it slightly shrinks the height limit 2. most of the banner will still be cut off because it's so big. Forum posts & signatures do automatically resize individual images to fit if they're too wide, but columns break that functionality, too.
You'd either have to remove the plush and keep the banner by itself in your signature, OR size down the banner significantly so it'll fit - it has to be 374px wide or less in order to fit next to the plush.
Even if you use the image by itself, you'd probably have to resize it anyways, since the dragons will be cut off at the bottom by the height limit. Consider editing the banner itself to better fit in small spaces - there's a lot of empty space you could either use or remove!
