Silly question, but if I am breeding dragons, and while they are currently nesting, I decide to change their genes, will it allow me to? Would the gene change register on the existing eggs?
The reason I ask is that I want to get two dragons started on a nest while I continue to save up for a few of the genes they need. I've been around awhile, but breeding is still something I'm learning about. >_<

You cannot apply genes or breed changes to nesting dragons until the nest hatches. Mechanically, hatchlings are only generated at the time of hatching, so I'd imagine they would have the new genes if it was possible, but the point is moot.
