Found out my friend used to play FR back in the day and asked him if he could try to access his old account, as there was probably stuff I'd want on there. Well today he told me he managed to regain access. Is it alright for him to just give me stuff on the account as he no longer uses it? I don't want to get banned for hacking or something

@GarbagePal Since you aren't hacking his account you won't be banned for that c:
There's nothing wrong with someone giving you items they no longer want. If he continued logging on just to benefit you, for example gathering and sending you the results, that wouldn't be allowed.

Below is an example of a scenario that would be considered multiple account behavior:
A brother, sister, and mother sign up for Flight Rising to play. These family members exchange items, currency, and dragons while playing normally of their own accord. (No problem - this is okay.) Later, the mother and sister become disinterested in the site and give their remaining items and dragons away to the brother. (Also okay!) Afterwards, the mother and sister decide that they will log in every few days to only complete their gathering turns, pull from Pinkerton's Pile, and send the gathered items and Well Fed bonus currency directly to the brother. They no longer have interest, and no longer actually play for themselves.
This is where it breaks down and the violation occurs. The mother and sister have stopped playing, and the sole purpose of their accounts is now to benefit the brother's account. Whether or not the brother has login access to the accounts or not, all three are participating in multiple account behavior.

@Lonin Thank you! I think I am nervous because of the recent happenings of people hacking accounts but we have different IP addresses so I think they should be able to tell we are different people alright? sadljksf I am probably worrying over nothing

@GarbagePal You don't have anything to worry about. FR knows that sometimes users do things like give their stuff to other people before quitting. They take lots of things into account when looking into stuff like this, not just items moving from one account to another :D
