Today I drew a picture of my avatar dragon, and tried to put the picture in her profile info box. I used Imgur to upload the image from my phone's camera to the Internet.

The picture displays on my dragon's bio page correctly... except for one big issue: the image is enormous! Too enormous to be viewed properly, and it's very disappointing as I'd really like to be able to give my dragons some custom artwork.

I'm new to this whole image-posting thing...is there any way I can possibly resize the image?

there's no way onsite to resize images, although some art programs and image hosting sites can do that while retaining most of the image quality. I personally can't say which ones are good for resizing stuff unfortunately

Thank you for your help--I will try to play around with Imgur and my phone's photo album, and see if I can possibly resize the picture there.

Imgur does have an image resizing feature, but I'm not sure how well it works on mobile. If you're having trouble let me know and I can try to help resize it for you! ^^

@Residual I did a bit of research online and tried to use the image resizing tool on Imgur, but when I clicked on the "Edit Image" option, Imgur told me "Oops! We couldn't find that page." I may just have to try this out on my computer, and see if I have better luck there, but if there's anything you think I could try here on mobile, I'd certainly appreciate the help and insight. The dragon in question is this one... Yea it sounds like the edit image stuff doesn't work on mobile, super annoying. :< I resized a version of it if you're happy with this size! Click, it's 500x438 which fits nicely in the profile box, but you could probably get away with a bit bigger if you decide!

Just a word of warning, if you do decide to try and resize it yourself later on the computer, imgur does this thing when you edit an image where it'll add a "?1" to the end of the image URL. Flightrising doesn't like that and when you try to use that URL for an image code, it doesn't work. So you'll have to take the resized image and upload it AGAIN to imgur to get a new url, if that makes sense.

Oh my gosh, thank you so much! That resized image fits perfectly on my dragon's bio now. :)

I guess that next time I try to make art for my dragons, I need to use the computer, then! Was it difficult to resize this one? Did you use the tool on Imgur?

It says png but I think jpgs can work too, it's especially good for digital drawings to preserve transparent backgrounds. I dunno if it's better than imgur's resizing tools or not since I tried it only once and found it annoying. So yeah if imgur's causing you trouble you can always use this :)
