TOPIC | what do I do with my progens?
So I was reading this guide about having a minimalist lair http://www1.flightrising.com/forums/gde/1968566#post_22387152 and I wanted to have one. But then I realized that two of the dragons that don't fit my lair and have no purpose are my progens who I can't get rid of. This is Ironmaw. He loves doggos. I like him, but he doesn't fit my lair at all. I think that having a lair with just coatls would be cool, but I don't want to or have the money to turn him into one. Her tert is really ugly, and she doesn't match my lair. I tried to scry her as a coatl, but I couldn't find anything that looked good with her tert.

@bunnison If you you can't afford the things you'd like to do with them, and you don't want them in your lair, period, then the only recourse is to exalt them. That's the only way to remove a progenitor from your lair, as they cannot be sold or traded. If you don't like her colors, Scatterscrolling is an option, but if you don't have the Gems to throw around, it's best to exalt them for now.

If you'd like to bring them back later, you can use the Self-Service Dragon Restoration. As progenitors don't award Treasure or Dominance upon exalting, the rules for returning progens are more lax than restoring normal dragons, which makes it easier if you change your mind. There's no fee, no time limit between exalting and restoring, and it's only a 3-day cooldown to use it again.

@bunnison Another vote for just exalting them. There's no downside! Since they're your progens, you can restore them both later at no cost or hassle to you, and their stats and everything will be just as you left them.

@nightmarejudge @logicbutton I exalted Amorra, but I really don't want to exalt Ironmaw because I like him. Is it ok to have one dragon who doesn't look like all the others?

@bunnison You're the only person who can decide that. Forgive me if I'm reading too much into this, but why build your lair on someone else's idea of "OK" aesthetic if it means you need to get rid of a dragon you're incredibly fond of?

If you're totally bent on a mono-Coatl lair, and you don't have the funds or desire to make him match, then there's really no downside to exalting him now. If you're so attached that you're willing to make an exception to that rule (until you can get a Coatl scroll or a scatterscroll, that is), then yes, that's perfectly OK. Either way, this is your lair and your dragon - it's nobody else's decision to make.

If you're still on the fence, one method is to take off Ironmaw's apparel and familiar and push him into the very back of your lair, and continue with life as normal for a while. If you forget he was there and stumble across him later, it can give you a good idea of how you'd feel if he was exalted. Since he's a progenitor, you could even exalt him now to the same effect, and see how you feel about it later.

However, if you find yourself feeling guilty about the mere idea, then I'll say it again - your lair, your dragons, your choice to keep him or not. Anyone looking down on you for keeping a sentimental dragon that doesn't match the others would be incredibly rude and way out of line.
