Does anyone know how to get PhotoFiltre 7/Photoshop to recognize Japanese letter characters? I'm using Windows 8.1, and have tried making my settings use a Japanese keyboard, but when putting a Japanese input into PF7, it comes up as "????" or a blank layer. Any suggestions on how to fix this?
I realize this is a farfetched question thread, but the forums for PF7 are very much dead.
Also, I should ask-- Will using Japanese letters on signatures, or any graphics I make, get me a slap on the wrist for breaking the ToU?

Being able to use foreign characters is font dependent - the font you are trying to use may not have included formatting for foreign characters, the same way some of them don't include numbers or special symbols.

was trying to use was a Japanese font. Very strange.
I'll investigate this, as another font that was also for Japanese characters did, in fact, work. So I'll have to tinker with different fonts.

As for your other question, no, using foreign characters on your graphics will not give you trouble, unless you really did put something inappropriate on there and been reported by other players. :P

Genkai Mincho. The link goes to the download page, but it has a preview of the font in question. I've already tried installing it three times now, and it won't show up in PhotoFiltre the last two times, which is frustrating. Currently hunting for similar grunge-esque styles as I prefer it over the modern ones.

Have you shut down and reopened PhotoFiltre?
Also.
Last time I used PhotoFiltre was like 10 years ago, at the time only French and English were supported, I'm not sure if this has changed since, but you may need to install a Japanese language pack.

Yeah, several times, lol. :'x
I found a youtube video on how to access other nationality keyboards and I've since activated the Japanese/Asian keyboards. Most of the fonts I'm finding are working now, I'm just disappointed my Genkai Mincho won't show up in my fonts options. *shrug* :/
