Hi! I'm new so I'm not sure if this is a possibility or if there's a better place for me to find the answer to this question but can you change a gene of a dragon?
@Raya36 Absolutely! Genes can be changed with Gene Scrolls, here are just a few examples:
[item=Primary Gene: Skink][item=Secondary Gene: Facet][item=Tertiary Gene: Gembond]
There are also Remove Gene scrolls to return a dragon's primary, secondary, or tertiary to Basic.
[item=Remove Gene: Primary][item=Remove Gene: Secondary][item=Remove Gene: Tertiary]
You can put new genes on a dragon who already has genes, and you don't have to use the removal scroll first. Those are just there for players who would prefer a basic dragon!
Most gene scrolls are available in the Marketplace, with rarer ones sold for gems instead of treasure. Poison/Toxin and Skink/Spinner are crafted at Baldwin's Brew. We've also gotten a sneak peek of Python and Morph, which will be scrolls that drop in the Coliseum sometime in the future!
(Breed changing also works via scroll items!)
When you get a gene scroll, it shows up in the 'Specialty' tab of your Hoard. Click on it and then pick the dragon you want to use it on from the popup menu. (You can't change the genes or breed of a dragon who is currently sitting on a nest.)

Thank you so much! I got a dragon for a future breeding pair but I was looking to change one gene which I wasn't sure I liked so much. :D
Edit: Is there a way to preview a gene change?

@Raya36 Some genes like Poison and Toxin can make the dragon's color [i]look[/i] dramatically different, but otherwise no. Black will always be Black, Tangerine will always be Tangerine, and so on.
The only item that can change a dragon's colors is a Tri-Color Scatterscroll, which can be found in the Gem Marketplace:
[item=Tri-Color Scatterscroll]
This item totally randomizes your dragon's primary, secondary, AND tertiary colors. You don't get to pick the colors or change just one.
