As a new player I would like to know what items are truly rare.
Maybe there's a list of rare items that I have not seen yet, and if not then I would be happy if some veteran player could tell me some items that are very hard to get - be it apparel or skins or materials, anything!

@katamarikozzan c: Here, retired familiars, retired apparel and retired skins. It's not completely up to date but it has the 'truly rare' items in it :D
Generally the older something is the rarer it is with the beta and kickstarter stuff being the rarest.

The rarest stuff on the game has probably got to be KS (kick starter) items. Including Imperial Scrolls, Skycats, Gilded Crowns, Bonefiend, etc.

@katamarikozzan Any item that is cycled out (not currently for sale) or truly retired (never coming back) is generally rare and desirable. There are lists of them [url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?p=wiki&article=26]here[/url]. Swipp trades that take a ton of items can be rare, too, especially when the ingredients are gathering-only and rare in and of themselves.

The Boolean was only given to the tiny handful of FR's beta testers. You'll never own one.
[item=Breed Change: Imperial]
Imp scrolls were only awarded to Kickstarter backers, and most of them were used up long ago.

These guys are Kickstarter-exclusive familiars. You'll [i]probably[/i] never own one.
[item=Light Sprite]
The first festival familiar, and the rarest/most expensive. They'll never be rereleased.

Wildclaw scrolls have sold in the gem marketplace for 2000g, but they've been cycled out for ages, meaning you can only buy them from other players right now.
[item=Black Wolf Cape][item=Brown Wolf Cape][item=Gold Wolf Cape]
Wolf cape apparel isn't [i]rare[/i] exactly but it's so popular that it still gets bought out from the marketplace almost instantly, even though it's been out for a long time. It's hard to even catch a glimpse of them in the shop. The white one is also exclusive to a Swipp trade.
