To obtain something, something of equal value must be lost.
@kipa If you have a set USD price, converting that into gems is a good place to start! 1g is about $0.01, so if you normally charge $10 for a piece, that'd be 1000g. From the gem price, you can get the treasure price by going into the Items for Sale board and looking at what people are buying and selling gems for. At the moment, it's somewhere between 1 gem for 650 treasure and 1g:700t, so your hypothetical $10 piece would be between 650,000 treasure and 700kT.

@kipa ^^ You're welcome! Your art is super cute, especially that animated talk sprite, I imagine you won't have any trouble finding business. Let me know if there's anything else you have questions about!

awh thank you! And well i do have one more question

I'm a bit confused on what adoptables are here; from what I know it as, they are characters or designs you buy. But I don't think that is how the word is used here.

@kipa Adoptables on Flight Rising are art with the same base that's colored/edited/drawn over to make it look like a different dragon each time! It's a way for an artist to quickly make and sell semi-custom art, which makes it cheaper for consumers. They're a pretty big time investment up front, though, since you need to make the base, then make the templates for each primary, secondary, and tertiary gene on top of that.

They're as custom as you want to make them - some people only do certain genes and no apparel or accents, and some people will do everything on a dragon (for more treasure than just a naked dragon, of course).
