So one of my friends exalted their random progen (I don't know why they did, but they didn't mean to I don't think), since they're new and don't know why progens are important, nor what exalting does. They wound up making a second account to trade back to their main account to make up for that lost progen, but they didn't realize you can't trade progens.

Anyway I informed them that multiaccounting is against the rules and is bannable, and also that you can't trade progens. Told them to message the staff in the contact us to ask if they can restore their progen because they're new and didn't know and didn't mean to.

Would them mentioning their second account (and the fact they didn't know they couldn't do that, plus they only did it because of the lost progen) and asking for that second account to be locked while still being able to keep their main account be a wise idea? Or is that a bad idea?

I believe if they explained honestly and thoroughly the staff would be more than happy to give them back their progen on their first account, and close their second account

Edit: Oh but I read something about you're only able to get an exalted dragon back from staff once in your entire FR life, so they should think about if they really care about that dragon (I mean I know progens are super valuable because they're so rare, but I don't really see anything intrinsically special about them). Also I think they'd have to pay the exalt price to get it back

I'll show them that. Me personally, I think their exalted dragon has a lot of potential (near XXY with a very nice tert and that was their random), and their backtracking led me to believe they really didn't want to exalt it, but I'll see what they want to do

Cool. I don't really know all the details about getting back exalted dragons though, I just read that in another thread. Just thought I'd let you know.
Also everyone talks about random progens. Does no one else choose their colors for their first dragon? I spent a good amount of minutes picking my progen's colors (she's my icon). Just curious.

the second progen you get is random. the one you don't choose colors for. my friend happened to get a dragon with really nice colors for their random progen.

Oh that's the one you're talking about. Sorry. Mine is almost xxy too. I always just though FR did that on purpose so you'd have a nice dragon to start out with. Mine's colors also kind of matched with my first dragon. Wait so have I been misunderstanding what progen meant this whole time? Are the first two both called progens, or just the second one? I always thought progen meant the first one (I've only been here since late July, sorry for my still relative noobness)
