in your dragon lair when all your dragons are displayed if you right click an image you can "copy image address" (or some equivalent) and then you delete everything after .png and it should work. there might be another way but that's how i do it and they seem to update with the outfit.
example: [img]http://flightrising.com/rendern/avatars/151600/15159955.png[/img] (removed "?mtime=VbjLfQAAUBI" at the end)

I changed the first 350 to avatars and deleted the second 350, then deleted everything after .png
