To change Genes, first save up a bunch of treasure. You will find the Genes located in the Marketplace (under the Shop section of the website), under the Specialty tab. After purchasing your Gene, it will be located in your hoard (under the Clan section of the website), n your Hoard it will be in the Other tab. Left click and click the dragon you want to alter.
I had a problem that the scroll was lost in the pages of my Other tab of my Hoard.

@Rozga, you can change genes by purchasing a gene scroll from the Marketplace or Auction House. There is a specific scroll for each gene.

I have done just that. But how do I change the genes? I currently have a Current Scroll, or at least I should I am missing treasure, therefore I must have it, but how do I use the scroll?

@Rozga, ah okay, it was not clear that you already had the scroll. You use gene/breed scrolls from your Hoard (they are sorted into the "Other" tab). Just click on the scroll's icon, a window will appear where you can preview the gene on all your dragons and choose a dragon to use it on.

what do you mean by search? if you already have a scroll, it should be in the ‘other’ tab of your hoard. otherwise they can come from the marketplace, auction house, coli, baldwin and swipp
also this thread is 5 years old, it’s generally easier to make a new thread in cases like this, especially because some info may be outdated
