So I woke up one morning and found that my Twitter App is now called X, and now I read the Devs update about the situation. Does anyone have any information as to why Twitter was renamed?

I am confused.

Muskrat just likes the letter “X”. Literally, anything he touches/owns has the letter x somewhere in its name. SpaceX, the Model X of Tesla, his son X Æ A-12, and so forth.

Also, he wants to make it into an “everything app”, so the name change could be a part of the whole revamp.

Soooo, I got a bit of an odd question...
Rock painter here. I haven't used the site for anything else (except nintendo stuff too) and still have a bunch of painted rocks around that have my twitter handle on the back.
Anyone got an alternate idea for a site that may be popular with rock painters? Anything goes except facebook, I won't ever touch that site.

The only site I could really recommend (as I've used it before) is Tumblr. It can take a while to adjust there when it comes to a thing that isn't fandom-related, but in the end, I think it'll go well!

That might be my best bet for now, since I already have a tumblr. Might also add my reddit too, then. Two large but niche sites for rock painters make one whole, I guess?

Thinking of it, I hadn't actually had much response for my rocks on twitter either. Maybe this'll actually increase reports from finders.

Late to the party on this thread; I've already caught the news on Tumblr and Discord this week. While I don't find this very funny, I've gotten more than a little Schadenfreude out of Yoshiki of X Japan fame hinting at possible legal trouble, just to add to the pile of the muskrat's new trademark issues. So much for the new Paypal wannabe. I'd almost forgotten about the attempt at hosting streams there from about a month or so ago; it was [i]horrendous[/i]. The most I ever got out of it was looking for obscure Japanese Soulcalibur material (worth it).

I really hate this new twitter thing. I can’t even look at my favorite artists pages anymore because it requires an account to view stuff now. this whole “create an account to view” thing is so frustrating. I’d rather view social media without having a social media thanks.

The "X" is in case you dont know what to do with the app. Its telling you hit X and eXit the platform.
