So... I know a few games but i'm still am looking for new games like FR. So I'm hoping to maybe find some new games from Asking on here :>
Also Its okay to suggest games in beta/alpha testing too.

FR is kind of like a one of a kind thing, but if you're looking for games based around breeding and getting new pets with customization, I think Lioden and Mweor, and there's one based on wolves too, but I cannot recall the name unfortunately. There's also ChickenSmoothie if you're just interested in collecting virtual pets that have premade designs that aren't customizable. But they have different species too, like dogs, cats, horses, reptiles, birds, rodents, etc. There's also Wajas, which I don't know too much about, but I see them often recommended as well!

I would say Lioden is pretty close, although it's a lot more on breeding mechanics and having the rarest lions, and they can also die. There are a ton of customization options though, and with it's 16+ age rating they can get away with a lot more than FR can! Wolfplaygame and the Lioden sister site Wolvden are similar but with wolves- although they're still very breeding based and your prized canines can die.

If you want a game where your lovely virtual animals can't die, then I believe games like Furry Paws and Meowr just have them retire instead of fully die? Not too sure about the customization options on those- Furry Paws specifically I don't remember seeing many dress up options.

Chicken Smoothie lets you dress up pets but not actually customize what they look like- and there's not much actual "game" apart from collecting and trading them. Still, if you want good forums, CS has them.

Third-ing lioden!

Also Beastkeeper, it's a relatively obscure site (at least, I don't see much about it? Found it by pure happenstance while it was in beta) where you raise various mythical beasts and breed them to get new patterns and better fighting abilities. Each pet only has one lineart (so one for rocs, one for dragons, one for gryphons, etc) with slight variations, but the colors and patterns are different and can be quite fun to breed for. The main aspect of the site is exploration - travelling through a portal, fighting monsters (kind of coli-esque?), and gathering resources. It's hard to explain, but it's a fairly quiet site with some fun stuff, and I always find myself going back to it when I'm bored of my usual haunts.
I'll note that it isn't particularly new, it was in beta in ~2013 and has long since moved past that, so if you're specifically looking for recently-made sites I'm afraid i've got nothing! best of luck though!! c:

Some pet games are similar, such as Dappervolk or ChickenSmoothie, so those could be nice alternative options
