If you're here you're probably a bit obsessed with dragons like me. I recently got back into Istaria: chronicles of the gifted solely because it let's you play as a dragon and that's all I want in life. Anyone else playing right now or tried it before?
It's a VERY old and VERY janky and VERY slow game but there's something charming about it tbh, and I'll take any playable dragon game I can get...

it's an mmo over a decade old so the jank is real but it's got a bunch of unique races to play like satyrs, fairies and dragons ofc. Start out as a baby but you can become adult and ancient after that, fly around freely. If you don't like mmos/grinding and the playable dragon aspect isnt enough to keep you, I don't think I'd recommend it, it can feel very slow and confusing at times. But like I said, it's got charm and running around as a dragon is fun. The community is very welcoming and helpful too.

OMG, I love Istaria! I've only played it as a dragon as it's the mmo's main appeal for me. I never been able to grow a hatchling to a full adult as the focus and time needed hasn't worked out for me yet (also I keep wanting to make new hatchlings etc...)
Anyway, I haven't re-subbed in ages because it gets boring just solo gaming an mmo sometimes when I can just play a dedicated singleplayer game.
But, here is my dragon Boils, I've very proud of her. She looks like a roasted duck and that makes her even better.

oh she looks EXCEPTIONALLY spicy, you did a really good job there!
I've been playing mmos for over a decade now so I'm well used to the grind but istaria is Very tiresome sometimes unfortunately and not the prettiest to look at... But simple enough that I can just have a show or a podcast on while grinding it out, I wanna get to adult at least once... even though I have made other babies, it's too hard not to!
