TOPIC | Got the Same World twice in Minecraft?!
ok i know this sounds very unbelievable.. but I got the exact same seed an another Minecraft world i had?? i loaded up a new world on minecraft pe and named the seed dance of swords. i spawn in a spruce forest and as i was walking around i find a litttle river and a mountain that seemed eerily familiar. and i was like "hey i build a base on the same mountain, this place like like a world i used to have! i bet theres a village up ahead" and when i went there i saw a village, i finally got into creative and saw that it was basically the same world i remember it as. i know i have no way to prove this since i deleted that old world long time ago but its pretty freaky either way :P

Since all Minecraft worlds are infinite who's to say every world isn't the same seed?

That's like a 10% chance of that ever happening. Less rare then a full diamond baby zombie riding a chicken, but still pretty rare.

Minecraft can be pretty weird. I think this is legit, even without proof.

I always wonder if somebody has ever gotten the same seed thatI have.

Theres like 18,446,744,073,709,551,616 possible seeds or something and the seeds change when the world generation changes.(for java at least)

So for the same generation(so no biomes or other stuff changing worlds) is like 18 quintillion * 18 quintillion

I ain't even gonna attempt to see what that makes.
So even if it was the 18 quintillion
I read that java minecraft has 30 million copies
If each of them were to play the game then it's a 1/614891469124 for someone to get the seed I got.
That is insane.

The numbers are way less insane for bedrock because it uses 32 bit instead of 64 bit, but there are still a ton of seeds.
