Hello! I've been playing a lot of Starbound(a 2d Sci-fi fantasy space sandbox game) lately and am struggling to come up with things to build. Any ideas of what I should build? It could be anything! No need to ping me as I'm subscribed to this thread.

Anyway have some building ideas!
Make a colony! You can buy colony deeds at the Outpost
Find a Hylotl mansion and fix it up!
Make a zoo with capture pods!
Build a really cool house!
Make a secret bunker!
Make a monument!
Redecorate your ship!
Make a butterfly zoo with captured butterflies in jars!
Make a seafloor base on an ocean planet!
Make a beach house!
Make an igloo! Bioluminescent biomes on snow planets are really pretty, I've made an igloo in one and it's awesome :D
Make a mine and make it look fancy!
Pixel art?
Make a cooking station with a garden and try to cook as many foods as you can!
Find a cool natural structure and take it over and give it a makeover! A Glitch castle could be neat, but the enemies are pretty tough to fight. Same with an Apex lab.
Make a secret lair, and make a treasure hoard to go along with it! You can make hoard blocks in the workbench, I think?
Make a display room for all your collected cosmetics with mannequins!
Make a sky house! You could have a ladder/bridge to the ground maybe
I could probably think up some more stuff for you if you want! I'd love to nerd out about Starbound with you too haha
My main character is an Avian, what about you?
p.s. if you didn't know hold shift while building to place one block at a time, it's a lifesaver for building complex things but it's a pretty unknown trick

Woah! So many ideas! I really like the beach house and igloo ones. Ooo you just gave me a really good idea! Maybe I could build an ice sculpture figure holding an igloo or something. My main character at the moment is a Novakid who bases all of his decisions on what his lucky 8 ball says.

..ive actually got no idea, im not good at building stuff. i like decorating my ships though. perhaps a floran ship with a lot of stuff scavenged? kluex worshipper ship for avians? spooky lab for apex, very primitive stuff for fenerox if you modded to play as them

I really love making secret places, hidden underground and such. Hidden labs? Perfect! Hidden treasure hoard? Amazing! Hidden torture chamber in the desert to get information out of supposed cultist? Heck yeah!
