YAH BOY'S GETTING A BETTA AND A BREEDING GUPPY TRIO AND I'M EXCITED AS ALL CAN BE?!?! IF YOU HAVE BETTAS OR GUPPIES SHOW ME PICTURES SO I CAN SCREAM IN EXCITEMENT I'VE WANTED FISH FOR SO LONG!!!!
UPDATE: I'm getting the betta first and waiting a while for guppies, as i have a lot of school work and other things and i don't want to be overwhelmed with babies, for now i just want a chill little betta dude to hang out with. Heres a photo of the tank he'll be going in. It's approx 5 gals but i'm not great at maths so it may be more idk. I'm gonna go for a minimalistic kinda thing and just have a bare-bottom tank with a terracotta pot and a bit of drift-wood.
UPDATE: Got the filter! Now it looks like a lil' zen garden tank! I'm gonna get some floating plants and hopefully one plant i can wedge behind the rocks in the back. And i'm still getting a terracotta pot for it as well.
(Do terracotta pots leech chemicals into the water?)

I'm hoping to get a dumbo betta and i know i'm going to get a red or orange male guppy, but other then that i'm not sure.

Frostt Are you putting the betta and guppies together? If so I'd suggest only getting female guppies because most males get aggressive with brighter colored fish ^-^

I worked with betta fish last year and designed a training program. In about two weeks we had him swimming through hoops! Males tend to be better at training than females. If you are keeping a single male by itself, then you can probably target train him. Guppies are nice too, they have a lot of babies. Enjoy your new fish!
