Alundra for Playstation. That game was truly a thing of beauty with its plot and its puzzles. I loved it for mostly the same reasons I loved a lot of older Zelda games. The game was also targeted toward teens and adults, so its puzzles were actually delightfully challenging!

Perfect World. It's similar to World of Warcraft, and is honestly a gorgeous game in terms of music and graphics. It keeps me busy for hours. It's a rather popular (it's an international game, so there's a metric crap ton of players), but I still rarely find anyone who has ever heard of it.

I don't really know if it's an obscure game because it does have a pretty nice fan base, but one of my all-time favorite video game series has got to be the inFAMOUS series by Sucker Punch. I love the idea of Conduits, the story was pretty solid for me, the cutscenes were done in a neat comic-esque style, and you have lightning powers. Lightning. Powers. There's also a cool mechanic where you can either be good or evil depending on your choices in the game, but I don't really think they gave the evil part of it much thought.

The characters and story all get an upgrade in the sequel, and the karma choices are waaayy better, the evil choices falling more into the morally grey area than just being evil just because. The third game, more of a spin-off than a direct sequel, brings us new characters, a new plot, and way more powers than the first or second. The karma system more or less reverted back to its original state, which I thought was a little weird considering the praise inFAMOUS 2 got for its karma system.

All in all, great storyline, mechanics, visuals, and characters. Just a great game series to make you cry your eyes out and keep you up till 2 am.

One of my favorite (and first) games on the Wii I got was Dogz 2, and I loved it! The characters were fun to interact with and the story had decent pacing that a kid could really enjoy.

Any of the Panzer Dragoon games. Panzer Dragoon Orta was soooo pretty, and Panzer Dragoon Saga is the best JRPG to me. So gooood. <3

Breath of Fire V. I know its like the blacksheep to that series, but I like how different it is compared to the others. It's dark compared to the others too!

It's probably not all that obscure, but the ratchet and clank series? I've never met anyone who plays it, though I have met quite a few sly cooper fans.
I love Xenoblade Chronicles, it came out late into the Wii's lifespan but it's so freaking good and beautiful and the story is so good. And I'm gonna refrain from anything spoiler-y.
@Heropon Ohhhhh my god I love that game! I lost my copy away after I (finally) finished it, but the story and characters were so good that I could probably play it a hundred times if I ever got it back. I'm hoping X is as good as it's predecessor was, cause I reaaally love the series.

@JayJem

I haven't played X because I have never seen it at Walmart, but Xenoblade is on the WiiU eshop for $35 CDN (probably less in USD) and it looks so nice on a Wii U.

Don't worry about it. Silly Arcade's just telling magnetic field jokes for his own amusement.
I don't know if this have been mentioned or not but,, SIMS 2!

Not PC game but one for DS! I always played the beginning, restarted it, played the beginning, restarted it over and over because I didn't know how to go further or anything. I was too disoriented back then when I had it, so I traded it away to a girl for her Mario Karts 8, promising to trade our respectable games back by end of year but I dropped out by then.

So that Sims 2 game is long gone by now I'd assume but it's sooo fun and sooo good to play from what I can really remember! I loved to play Rummy(?) in the casino, I always go there to play Rummy when I start the game up, a l w a y s, lmao. I've always given up on alien inspecting thing when I got that far because it was too tough for me to understand back then but now I want to rebuy it and attempt to play everything again.

But yeah, my favorite obscure video game is Sims 2,, because not many people know about it when they talk about PC Sims :c

My Friend Koo, about a boy who physically merged with an elf/faerie on a snowy night to go beat up evil fairytale characters such as Peter Pan in order to save fairy tale world.

The art and music tho, amazing. Allegedly you can summon a unicorn... I need to find the cd-rom again.
