Nothing much to say here.
I guess this counts as a spoiler for Moon Rising and beyond so I'll spoiler since a few of you guys said you only read up to book five.
Do you think Umber and Sora will be back in the 3rd Arc? It feels kind of weird that they just disappeared and only got mentioned a few times in the newer books. Plus it'd be pretty cool if they escaped to the new continent and maybe appeared as a cameo or maybe even one of them get a book. I think I've might've said something like this but w/e.

Also, I feel like people get WAY too upset over the romance. I've seen people in other threads (Mainly in the "Very Terribly Describe Your Fandoms" thread) call it sloppy and forced (This isn't directed towards anyone). Like, sheesh people, calm down.

The characters actually show development throughout it, Winter realizes his feelings for Moon throughout book 7. Also, for everyone who says "MoOn DiDn'T sHoW iNtErEsT fOr QiBlI uNtIl ThE lAsT mInUtE!!!!" we have no idea what was going on in Moon's head during EP and almost half of ToP, she could have been thinking about it.
Also, forced romance is when the characters who aren't compatible and show any development for each other get together. Educate yourselves and learn the difference.

For me, every day is World Kindness Day.

Thinking about it now, it was kind of obvious winterwatcher wasn't going happen. A lot of media I've seen have the misunderstood jerk/bad boy archetype fall in love with the main hero/ine or whatever and usually it always end of with the hero/ine falling in love with the best friend or good guy.
I do somewhat agree with others that It would been better if Moon didn't choose any of them or it was an ambiguous ending. But hey it's just a book, no need to get mad about it ^^

I honestly feel that Winterwatcher would have been toxic in a way, if you know what I mean.
Also, the IceWings (except Lynx) are honestly extremely horrible and rude and can't learn to let things go (Pun somewhat intended), holding a grudge THAT big could destroy them one day.
Not to mention Tundra is a horrible mother and Snowfall is a huge brat.

I think it would've been better if moon hadn't chose either of them tbh
To me, it really didn't look like she showed interest in dating them until top and dod. Even then it wasn't very obvious.
Fans were definitely w a y to angry over the romance.
I also kind of felt like Moonbli was way too obvious. I think everyone saw it coming. I kind of wished they brought a little more surprise into the book and have Moon choose to be by herself, or with another dragon, same with the other sides too.
(also can we just take a moment to appreciate Anemone and Tamarin)

(Personally I ship Pikemarin but good for you)
Moon would have been great with many characters, but in the end she should just be alone. Putting herself into a relationship - as she did in DoD - feels a little rushed, and she’s the kind of character that thinks things through. We may not have seen her thoughts, but her actions didn’t really reflect... much of anything tbh. I get that Moonbli was obvious to us readers, but... I’m not saying it’s forced. And I’m not saying it ruined the book. Just expressing my opinion.

Live today. Don’t wait for tomorrow.

(i don't really ship anemone and tamarin but i love the lgbt aspect being brought into the books :))
I agree with you. It really does seem rushed, seeing as Moon never showed great interest up until dod. I feel like it would've been a bit better if she had the whole book to think things through, and then they start dating at the end, but that's just me.
Personally, I don't mind the ship, I just think it could've been brought into the book in a much better way.

Well, Scholastic had Tui on an unreasonable deadline, so that's probably why it was rushed.
