TOPIC | Gradient vs. Ombre
I really don't get the difference between ombre and gradients, is there any? Whenever I see something called ombre it... Just looks like a gradient. Is ombre just a trendy term for gradient? Someone please explain this to me, I am but a simple artist who doesn't know when the heck ombre began to mean gradient.

@Asteri

Ombre is a gradient, but a gradient isn't an ombre.

Basically, ombre is light to dark. I.e sky blue to black. A gradient can be movement from any color, i.e a bright yellow to a bright orange

But. Yeah. They're more or less the same thing

Tell me your desire
while you pull me from the fire
and we'll seal the deal with a kiss

Hmm, I didn't realize there was a difference. I always thought ombre was the term for people who didn't know what gradients or shading was. Now I know.
