@NanderSneaEanio If you're referring to the app/facebook game, I am almost certain that it came out before Flight Rising OR is ripping off something that itself did. It is also a very different sort of game!! One of those freemium collection and breeding games. If you're referring to something else, my apologies :'-) I do not have television so I am just going by the name Dragon City

most normal of all time
Dragon city is just another city building fee to play/pay to win games. You start off with a dragon as your main defense and level it along with the city's buildings. It's not very fun and pushes microtransactions constantly.

There are tons of dragon breeding sites/games/etc. though??

That game has actually been out for at least a couple of years now. I've never played it, mostly because they have a "Dragon" that's LITERALLY A CHILI PEPPER WITH LIMBS AND A FACE (and there's another one that's even worse than that).
And games like it have been out for a while, and I have played a few of them, but their breeding mechanics don't operate the same as FR does (nothing with colors of the actual Dragons themselves; it's mostly just hybrids).
Honestly FR is much better and more interesting than any of those games, especially since there's a lot more to do on FR instead of just breeding Dragons and screaming into the void whenever some new Dragon comes out and then it turns out to be limited for a week and super rare and practically impossible to breed/get so then you have to spend premium currency which costs real money or takes forever to get for free to get one. (This happens all the time in a game similar to Dragon City called Dragon Story; it was honestly way more stressful than was necessary, which is the main reason that I haven't played it in a couple of years and deleted it off of my iPod.)
So yeah, I'm REALLY glad that FR is nothing like those games, other than the fact that they all involve Dragons and breeding them.

Someday I'll put something creative here.
Well, I never saw it until after I started playing at flight rising. Amazing coincidence. I prefer not having to download anything to play this sort of game, also.

Yeah, I don't really recommend any of them (especially Dragon Story; just DON'T). A lot of them are just as Marduk said; free to play/pay to win. You won't get anything good without paying for it, or just being super lucky (and the odds are almost always against you).
The only game that I've played that was one of those Dragon-breeding sims but wasn't always forcing you to spend premium currency/real money is DragonVale. It's actually possible to breed Dragons that produce premium currency (albeit at a slow rate; and it's not even that difficult; I've gotten at least six of them), and you can also get anywhere from 1-5 of this currency for free every day, even without these special Dragons. And while they do have limited Dragons, they always bring them back to be bred every single year in December, unlike Dragon Story, where, if you didn't get it when it was available, you'll never get it.
Either way, I haven't played any of those sorts of games in a while, and FR is still much better.

It really seems to be ripping off dragon friends imo
also the ads on tumblr were super obnoxious for a while. Like, it would show two regular eggs and then just a literal pile of steaming crap. why would that make me want to play your game. what

I loved the other one that's competing with it, DragonVale. Also a pet breeding game with the most adorkable little not-dragons ever.
