THE WORST THING UGH | General Discussion

Welp, after 11 HOURS IN A DAMN CAR, we finally made it to Youngstown, Ohio. You would THINK that would be a good thing, after a long car trip.

NOPE

We're just spending the night here in a hotel. Then, it's about 7 hours (probably more) until we get to Kent, Connecticut. All I want is a shower and to go to bed, but the bathroom is occupied, and I'm hungry, so I'm just sitting here, groaning and whining. I KINDA WANNA GO HOME OKAY.

SO WHAT ARE YOUR LEAST FAVORITE PARTS OF CAR TRIPS??

Once we drove across three states with two rabbits in the back seat because we were moving. The car broke down. Luckily the people at the repair shop let us set up a pen for the rabbits in their air-conditioned lobby. We mentioned to them that we were worried about them getting overheated or stressed out and they said "Oh, no problem! We like rabbits!" So the rabbits got to sit in a cool quiet place and eat their food and they had an excellent time while the rest of us were tearing our hair out.

Once we drove across three states with two rabbits in the back seat because we were moving. The car broke down. and its windy....
and night time...!
and you get a weak feeling every time you look around the plane or try to get up. (i hate it, last time i went on a plane to come back home, every time i looked around i'd get weak and, just getting to the bathroom was so bad omg i had literally no balance cause i was so weak that day but i was thankful that we were returning home!!)

I recently drove from Colorado to Nevada, then to California. I love car rides, so it was pretty glorious, but a lot of that probably depended on the people I was with. The one thing I have trouble with while traveling is bored, loud children.

Drives that make me question whether or not my car's transmission is going to die because the road is hell. aka most if not all of my trip on the alcan highway.

I love California, but I haven't been there in, like, 11 years xD Airplanes are tedious, yes, but they are so much shorter than car trips lol. But yeah, windy nighttime flights aren't the best lol. And omg the weak feeling. YES I KNOW THE PAIN. But the biggest problem for me on flights is the fact that my ears pop, and they don't ever un-pop, so I'm miserable :P There was this one time that me and my family drove 20 hours in a car without air conditioning lol.

I'm with four of my family members, but I have the entire third row of the car to myself, a blanket, two pillows, snacks, and EVERY ONE OF THE HARRY POTTER MOVIES YES.

Bad roads suck. I'm pretty used to them cause one of the roads by my house is basically an old country road, but with all the knew subdivisions, it gets too much traffic and tears up the pavement :P

Car rides, ahhh. Plane rides, aHHHH. I think I generally hate long-term transportation of all sorts. My undergrad and med school are both 6 hours by plane, so I'm kind of used to the numb butt feels by now...Still doesn't make it any easier though!

Oh gosh I had a coach trip from England to Italy once and it was hell! I was stuck on a coach full of high school kids for what was supposed to be 28 hours (which would have been bad enough), and then the driver drove down the wrong mountain and it ended up taking 31 hours. That was, erm, an experience.

Then we had to drive back again.

I was stuck on a coach full of high school kids for what was supposed to be 28 hours (which would have been bad enough), and then the driver drove down the wrong mountain and it ended up taking 31 hours. That was, erm, an experience.

Then we had to drive back again.
