I randomly felt like rewatching all the episodes of my favorite childhood show, Tokyo Mew Mew, and oh my God I was not prepared for all the feeeeelllllssss and I need someone to talk to about like. Everything. Yes. ;u; Fangirling, discussing, I don't even care bUT I NEED TO TALK TO SOMEONE OKAY?

I HAVE LOT OF KISH/ICHIGO AND PUDDING/TARUTO LOVE THO BE WARNED

even tho kisshu went freaking psychotic at the end I still love him, ok. he was my first TV show crush and kishigo was my first OTP. this show was my childhood shh but wow I never realized how very un-child-friendly it got at the end

Hello friend I am here to cry with you because freaking kishigo. I've been wanting to rewatch it but I am not sure if I want to put myself through so much emotional pain specially after I remember my otp doesn't end up together.

PUDDING AND TARUTO ARE/WERE FREAKING GLORIOUS.

Did you rewatch it all already or just some of the eps? It's been years and I am still in denial about everything that happened to Kisshu in my head it never happened therefore I refuse to acknowledge him having to die and at the end not even getting the girl.

ughhh so yeah I just rewatched all the eps in the past week and wow yeah it was so emotionally agonizing I can't even like... but IF YOU REWATCH THEN FREAKING BRACE YOURSELF OKAY THERE ARE A LOT OF FEELINGS

I just am so sad about the ending. so so so sad and annoyed and why can't there be more to this show wHY CAN'T THEY WRITE AN ENDING WHERE THEY'RE TOGETHER

plus all the people who are like "well Kisshu is psychotic and violent", sure, yes he does go crazy at the end and yes he has a temper, but I'm sorry HOW IS MASAYA ANY BETTER FOR GOD'S SAKE THAT BOY IS THE DEFINITION OF BIPOLAR, TALK ABOUT MULTIPLE PERSONALITIES LMAO HE WAS FREAKING DEEP BLUE I MEAN HOW EXACTLY DID THAT EVEN WORK? how can you still trust this guy? um.. so yeah
except the actual Masaya is annoyingly perfect and it pisses me off, he is so bland and vanilla and cardboard and Gary Stu, their relationship makes me want to fall asleep tbh
even Ichigo and Ryou would be better even though their age difference is kinda weird (especially since in the Japanese she's supposedly 13, what the heck? that is the one thing I like better about the English, the ages seem more realistic)

yeah so... like you it had also been years for me, I mean I was probably like eight when I watched the English dubbed episodes, and then probably ten when I decided I wanted to watch the rest of them in Japanese with subtitles.
now that I'm older and I rewatched them, I have so many more kishigo feels and understand so many more things and it's just wow it's painful ;_____; and when Kisshu died omg just NO but at least I knew that it was coming and was semi-prepared for it. as much as one can be for the saddest death ever sobs
Taruto's death on the other hand: VERY UNPREPARED FOR THAT, I DID NOT FREAKING REMEMBER THAT HE DIED, LET ALONE THAT PAI KILLED HIM LIKE HOW HORRIBLE and wow ok I think I cried just as hard at his death because of how unprepared I was... and the line that Pai had when he killed him... dear God that was just so sad

so...
tl;dr: rewatch at your own risk and with a bunch of tissues close by

BUT YES THE ONLY GOOD THING ABOUT THIS SHOW IN THE END IS THAT PUDDING/TARUTO WAS BASICALLY CANON SO YEAH THAT'S GOOD

I won't rewatch this thing I refute to on the ground my feels don't deserve this kind of pain. (lol jk I'll rewatch it as soon as I hit vacations because I like pain). I think I was like ten when I saw it ??? since I saw it in spanish, and they always last longer is translating things to spanish.

ANYWAY. Did anyone actually liked Masaya? Like tbh, I remember I watched it with a couple friends and the three of us just disliked him. He always showed up when he hadn't and I never fully understood the Deep Blue thingie. Like 'lol i tried to kill you but let's just skip into the sunset. I have like 3 different personas inside me but who cares."

Kisshu was hot in that weird way only manga/anime aliens can be.

I started shipping Ichigo and Ryou after one very good fanfiction. I also shipped Lettuce and Ryou and I IT JUST HIT ME SHE WAS NAMED AFTER A VEGETABLE I am so done. I think punching yourself in the face hurts less than tmm feels.

Ahaha well be very prepared when you watch it. ;u; And wow you saw it in Spanish? That's pretty interesting! I like the Japanese the best though, things usually are the best in the language they're originally from. n.n
Let's not get started on Kisshu/Dren's voice in the English.. I... oh gosh.

But ooh I like good fanfiction. I feel like I kinda ship Ryou x Ichigo just not as much as I lovelove Kishigo, so I wouldn't mind reading a fanfic about them if it's well-written. x3

Really, the only reason I can't bring myself to rewatch it is because of Masaya. I planned to go through all of them again, but the blandness of his character... I couldn't take it. Hopefully, I can push through that and rewatch it because it's been years and I don't remember it all that well. I do, however, remember shipping Kishigo to the max. Literally every episode they were in, I was just waiting for them to get together and then... it just... never... happened.

Ah yeah I know how you feel, his character is just so annoyingly bland. :x When I was rewatching them I ended up skipping a lot of the parts with him because they were just so... Bleh. But Kishigo oh gosh, it's just a world of painful feels. ;u; Wanting them so badly to get together but they never do. (sobs) If only they made another season of TMM where the aliens came back and they ended up together. D:

Yes, please. That I would watch. My favorite character wasn't even Ichigo, though. If I'm being honest I found her kind of annoying too, but I think that was mostly because her weapon was really lame. A fuzzy pink heart that shot sparkles didn't seem like anything compared to Mint's bow and arrow, or Zakuro's whip thing. Mint was always my favorite character and I disliked seeing her sidelined.

I saw this and got so excited, I love Tokyo mew mew so much!! I read all of the manga, even the toky mew mew a la mode special with mew berry and god I have so many headcanons for this. I love them sos o much and I want to cosplay thgem all so bad! its like.. this fandom gets no hype and is so underappreciated

dude i never finished the anime (or the manga, I think...) but nonetheless i LOVED tokyo mew mew in elementary school. i still feel an attachment to it. i'll have to watch the whole thing sometime. wow i love the character designs so much
