I'll tell you, I used to foster all sorts of birds (Sun Conures, Green Cheeks, Love Birds, Parakeets) but my favorite bird type by FAR is a parrotlet. Attitude of an Amazon in a small little bundle.

Birds are awesome, but you definitely need to be ready for their neediness, I "waste/spend" so much money on these little guys. I love them dearly though. ;0;

My cousin had a parrotlet (I'm still bitter over that for so many reasons). I would really like to have some of my own one day. Just the right size and not quite as loud or demanding as a conure or cockatoo.
