I've only downloaded it yesterday, but saw there was an update for today so I'm trying it now.

Oh gosh. I thought the comparison tab was helpful, but this new probability tab is fabulous, lol. I'm transitioning my project into another variant, so I have a lot of stock per color, and this sheet just shaves off sooo much sorting time.

I implement a 'worked lineage' into the bio (example) of my current dragons, so it's not exactly the same as a proper family tree, but I'm curious to see how this plays out in the generator. (For the most part, getting a nice family tree layout in general has always been challenging. Unless we can shrink the avatars, we just don't have enough horizontal space! T_T)

I still plan to give the sheet a more thorough test before I recommend it to friends, but I really like what I'm seeing. It's very thoughtfully crafted. Thank you for sharing this with us.

@Lanikot Glad to hear it's been of aid! I'm a fiend for breeding projects but I loathe sorting through the Auction House trying to find what I need. Makes my thoughts turn into soup. "Wait, where is Dust compared to Midnight. Is it between Midnight and Platinum?? Oh wait dangit, I need gem genes for the tert unless I wanna spend 1200g after breeding..." It's a mess!!

And I love many of the wonderful breeding calculators shared here on Flight Rising, but I get so tired of manually inputting each and every color/gene of every dragon. I'm just lazy, and I prefer fewer clicks. And I mean... the scry URL already has all that info, it just needs to be parsed... so....

Yeah, the family tree is a challenge! It inevitably gets more and more squished the further up you go, 'tis the nature of a lineage tree. I settled for "look, it's not pretty, but it's legible, and that's all I need." I like how you laid out your lineage tree as well!!

And yes, please!! I encourage people to pick apart this sheet as much as possible!! Report back with errors you see or things that could run better!! I want this tool to be functional and proper above all else. I'm a notorious victim of fat-fingering keys, so there's always a chance something isn't quite right.

[emoji=subscription update size=1] Spreadsheet Update! Very minor update due to a coding issue on the Probability Calculator sheet! It's nothing that will break the sheet or anything, thankfully! Issue: if you move rows up and down the sheet in the Comparison tab, certain breeding pairs will be eliminated from the Calculator. If you like manually arranging the rows in your Comparison tab (I do!), then I recommend downloading the updated Calculator tab (found in the Master) and replacing the one in your current sheet. That's all! @pinglist-49242

Okay, so I have a few questions as I was poking around in some of the sheets in order to really make that toggle for the Probability Calculator work for its name.

1.) Was this at all set up in a way for people to be able to rename the sheets and still have things function?

2.) Could this tool support multiple breeding projects/Breeding Candidate Comparison sheets? Would duplicating the Breeding Candidate sheet break the calculator?

3.) Would the Probability Calculator be able to take inputs from two Breeding Candidate Comparison and be able to turn each one on and off independently?

4.) How many times is the phrase 'Breeding Candidate Comparison' used in the Probability Calculator? So I can try flipping the names around on my own and report my findings.

@Fortunae My best answers to your questions, based on my knowledge (just poked it it myself, but I have a hunch anyways, based on previous experiences): 1) You can rename sheet tabs and it should pose no issue. The sheet should be set up to automatically rename any tab names in the formulas, so renaming shouldn't break anything. 2) Duplicating the Candidate Comparison tab shouldn't be an issue! It should name itself "Copy of Breeding Candidate Comparison" automatically, and you can rename THAT as you please. 3) The Calculator will only draw draw information from the original sheet. You can duplicate the Candidate Comparison tab a thousand times, and then add a thousand pairs to each copy, but nothing will pop up in the Calculator. The Calculator will only continue pulling data from the original Candidate Comparison tab. 4) Hm, not sure. Do you mean how many times it's mentioned in formulas? Fair warning, it's a lot. Here's what I could find:

Each attribute cell cell in the Goal Scry bar (so, cells I5, L5, O5, R5, U5, X5, and AA5).
Row 6 is hidden but makes a few mentions of the formula in cells in G6, J6, M6, P6, S6, V6, and Y6.
Cells B9 and C9 (hidden, used to filter males and females)
Cell E9, used to combine every male ID with every female ID
Every cell from G9:AB9 makes mention of the tab. There are multiple hidden columns (G, H, J, K, M, N, P, Q, S, T, V, W, Y, and Z).
All four sorting columns have cells (AH9, AI9, AJ9, and AK9).
If I did the math correctly, that should be 43 times total (44 if you wanna count the explanation box at the top of the sheet). However, it's worth noting that every instance of the phrase 'Breeding Candidate Comparison' below Row 4 is in a formula. If you're looking to duplicate the calculator to adapt for multiple breeding projects, you can use the Find and Replace feature, set up a range (as I said, below Row 4), check "Also search within formulas," and then replace every instance of 'Breeding Candidate Comparison' with the name of the new Candidate tab you duplicated. I believe that should work, but I haven't tested that myself. Fingers crossed. That explain everything?

Okay so the short answer is:

Find and Replace, This Sheet (most important thing to remember)
"Also search within formulas," however no range needed.
Must be character 1:1 with renamed Breeding Candidate Comparison Sheet
Two projects? Two sets of everything, individual calculators won out over a togglable one due to wanting both sets of data visible especially once I have the second generation of parents however you can use the find and replace as your toggle if you name your projects well

Longer answer:

I tested to see how the calculator and sheets handle the find and replace when you rename the Breeding Candidate Comparison Sheet when using the Calculator.

For my personal sheets, I went with the names Project: VIEW and Project: LEMON for my data sets. I would probably recommend single word titles for the sheets as it makes the find and replace part easier. As long the word isn't any of the colors of the FR color wheel, I think that might break it? I didn't test it myself, I just started with the Project: prefix.

In the calculator sheet, you want to go under Edit/Find and Replace. The filters I used were: Search: This Sheet, Match case, Also search within formulas. I then duplicated the sheet that had the first find and replace. I repeated my steps with the first copy. After setting them both to YES and both calculators populated without crashing or breaking, I think I have both working as perfectly as I can. Thank you again for making this tool, it is super helpful and I was able to scale it to meet my needs which is a really big plus. Simple to use, simple to scale, and it gives valuable feedback for projects instantly.

Fun bug: make sure the Scrying Workshop link is for an adult or it makes the sheets upset. Either that or there was too much blank space between dragon entries and it made the sheets upset but I think it was the morphology link.
