I made a spreadsheet that can take any hex code and predict the closest three colors from the Flight Rising color wheel. It's not always perfect because it's difficult to model the way we perceive color. [url=https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1UQM6O4jQZ7Mt_usHH-h6DRaVHlgCOWswAOgs40rc9uE/edit?usp=sharing] Click Here to view the Sheet![/url] You can go ahead and edit the input boxes on this sheet, go to "File: Make a Copy" on the top menu to make your own copy. Enter any hex code under hex input into this calculator and it will return the closest FR color from the color wheel. This calculator will let you calculate up to five colors at once. Plus, it includes a custom script so that the cell where you entered your hex code will magically turn that color to help you compare it to the FR colors! This calculator works by calculating the smallest Euclidean distance between colors in RGB space. There are many websites and browser extensions you can use to colorpick images for hex codes. I suggest using imagecolorpicker.com or the ColorZilla Firefox extension. You're free to use this calculator, but please credit me if you are planning on using it as a part of another spreadsheet! I've updated this tool to make it a lot better to you! Now it will tell you the three closest colors, and it will also let you see the color of the hex code you entered!
