Hello! I know theres many Glimmer and Gloom guides out there, but I'd like to throw in my two cents. The goal of this was to make it as condensed and easy to remember/understand as possible, so that others like me (who have terrible memory) don't have to constantly come back to it. This is my personal method and I'm still trying to figure out how to do the Very Hard puzzle.
This guide uses light as the goal, but you can reverse it to do dark instead, of course.
First thing you're going to want to do is solve the first three rows by clicking the row underneath. Don't click the row itself, don't click the row above. It's pretty simple.
If the fourth row has an even amount of dark, do the same.
If the fourth row has an odd amount of dark, click every tile in the fourth row from left to right. Then solve.
If the fifth row has an even amount of dark, do the same.
If the fifth row has an odd amount of dark, click the first row second tile. Then the left bottom diagonal to that. Then go from left to right, top to bottom, re-solving it. ONLY LEFT TO RIGHT, ONLY TOP TO BOTTOM. Don't click on a tile then click on one further left, or anything else like that, or you'll mess it up. It should be the same pattern of clicks every time but it's easier to not have to memorize it. Then solve.

Example for more visual people :)
You might be able to solve it from here. Congrats!
If not, click the first row third tile. Then the left bottom diagonal from that, then solve top to bottom left to right. Same thing--you cannot do anything else or you mess it up.

Then you'll be able to solve it from there ^^! Hope this was helpful in any way
