scavenging the water element today I found a unhatched egg! :)) I looked at the pricing for it on the auction house, and it goes for quite a lot! Is this a sought out item? (i kind of need the gems for a snapper breed change scroll lol)

Congrats on your first egg ^^! Usually the advice for your first gathered egg is to hatch it to remember the moment :). Especially since as time goes on you'll get more eggs/better at earning treasure so you'll be able to sell future eggs you get if hatching isn't your thing. But honestly it's up to you! I hatched mine and it was pretty fun haha (arcane egg):

So unhatched eggs will hatch into common breed (fae, tundra, guardian, or mirror) triple basic dragons with random colors. Chances are, you will not get a dragon you love the colors of. That said, it's your first egg, and if you're a sentimental kinda guy then, well, you're never getting another first egg.
I sell eggs, personally. I do like geneing dragons from scratch, but I'm picky about colors and the chance that I get something I like / could sell for anything is much smaller then it's worth for me.

Hey, those are some nice colors! Much better than my first hatch (who was also a Water Guardian male, incidentally). [emoji=guardian tongue size=1] His tert can have some purple to it with Peacock:

Congrats on your first egg! I've hatched all of the ones I've gotten from Scavenging, but that's only because I get all of my flight reps that way (and I haven't scavenged any duplicate eggs yet). If I were to get an egg of a flight that I already have a rep for, I'd probably save it to donate to my flight's fundraisers or the like.
