In my head I treat all aberrations as Collective Systems (because I'm part of one) and the genders they have might align, but might not as well regardless of their body, I have both examples in my lair :)
This!! Abbies are 100% plural in our minds and the level of plurality they experience is a spectrum, just like real-world folks. You can absolutely have plural folks who identify as separate people but still use me/I to refer to everyone collectively. You can also have two very separate headmates with very different genders who use the same collective pronouns. As a simple example, I use he/him. One of our folks uses she/her. Collectively, we use he/they. So using he/him or they/them is completely fine regardless of which of us you're speaking to, but using she/her is polite if you know you're talking to someone who uses that! I imagine Abbies are very similar. Collective pronouns, with each individual having their own preferences. Alongside all of that, different abberations will have different experiences and want different things- So customize your dragons however you like them! There's no right or wrong way to think about it, because someone somewhere can see themselves in your funky goopy dragon. >:3 Basically, we just imagine abbs as systems with (typically) only two headmates, and who are co-fronting at all times. We love them they're good rep. <3

I think that in the case of different-gendered heads, each half of the body would differ in gender as well; however, the two halves would be more "seperated" than same-gender Abberrations to allow for this difference. Kind of like conjoined twins; think two one-headed Abberrations, of different genders, fused together along the hip, shoulder, and side. They're somewhat seperate bodies, just fused in a way that makes them look like one whole body. Each head controls one side of the body, and it takes cooperation of both heads to walk, sit, move, etc., like real-life conjoined twins.
also target cam: abberaions are not one body with two heads. they have two very closely fused bodies and two heads they have TWO SPINES! that's based on an IRL thing. to me anyway you can do what you want forever
^ This encapsulates what I'm trying to say pretty well. My original thought was exactly this but I forgot the word "gyandromorph". Gyandromorphism in Abberrations definitely isn't too far off.
