i've seen art shops that make neopets style adoptables but i don't know if any are still active, its always been a cute idea i do miss that weird ugly background. as much as i miss having literally 500 things to do in a day im also very grateful for how streamlined fr is, no more spending literally hours playing flash games only to make 0 progress towards any of my goals. to this day im still not entirely sure if i was doing something wrong or the economy really was that out of reach for the average player. at least the botting and scamming and account stealing are far reduced here, it was a lawless wasteland out in neopia.
oh and neopets could afford to become so big and have real world merchandise in stores across the united states (other parts of the world probably to??) and have hundreds of employees because of their heavy use of advertizing. yeah sure we could have so much on this website too but at the expense of feeding our dragons big macs?

Hmm, maybe I should try my dream neopet on the scry...
My account is 18, I literally just login to feed my pets every year or so now in hopes there is something that will make me stay. It's actually my gallery account, remember those? my main got purged, it would probably be 20 or so.
Just like there are things here like breeding (or a working site with regular awesome updates XD) I wish they had there, there are things from there I wish they had here... like an active dragon interacting with you with random events, a birthday theme but at the end of the day they are quite different and I don't think one could every replace the other. I love the community here though, over there I was scared to interact, still am!

Amei You make some awesome points and one of the things that came to mind for me about getting attached to your Neopets is that I think that's inevitable when you only have four of them (or three if you were like me and used the fourth as a lab rat). Like, I'm very attached to and have spent a lot of money on my progenitors because that makes them unique to me, but having 100+ dragons means many of them will be ones I'm less invested in for sure. I do love this site, though, and I'm working to eventually have outfits and lore for all my permanent pairs!
