Flight Rising Discussion

So Brightshine Jubilee is this weekend! Which means the start of a new festival cycle, and it was announced that we'll be receiving new Ancient tertiary genes with each elemental festival for the next year!

Anyone have any predictions of the kind of tert we might be getting for Brightshine? Or just any ideas you'd like to see! :3c


Personally I'd think it'd be hilarious if we get Lightweaver's or the Light Sprite's bunny ears. Just bunny ears, nothing else. Bonus points if they're for Aberrations or Banescale.

On a more serious take, I'd really like to see the light splatter pattern and facial markings from Sunbeam Ursa (or more recently the Lightback Slink) as a tert. Probably not going to happen as it was specified we'd be getting line-breaking terts for the festivals.

My other wild idea is a tert that adds Solar Blade-like accessory to the dragon. If we can get Gliders on Banescale, which adds an extra pair of limbs, then I don't see why we can't get other types of appendages.

I'd love the decorations we see on the light sprite's tail! Swirly fans always good

Sun-themed "jewelry", although it is anyone's guess on what exactly that looks like as an inheritable gene on a dragon. Yes, it sounds like certain festival apparel (see below) but I basically want a larger, Light-themed version of Filigree. [center][item=Daybreak Decorations][item=Gilded Compass][/center] The new festival genes are pretty much the only way to make a player's ancient dragon look more festive, so my guess is the new genes are going to MIMIC the themes and styles of festival apparel but without being actual clothes or auras. Like maybe the gene will be called "Sunbathed" and your dragon has several sunlight/gilded drops in long, necklace-like streams across its body due to the way droplets look when they're strung together. I think it'll be connected to the Lightweaver- maybe something like her glowing orbs? Then again, that might be too similar to Angler.

Or perhaps it'll just be a "glowing" tert, like an aura of sorts?

I kinda assumed an equivalent to the primal eyes and/or warrior's way fighting spirit stuff for ancients, just long light slashes protruding from or around the dragon's body. A gene that kind of looks like an alt-runes is something I'd be a fan of conceptually as well. Either way though, I'm excited to see what they have coming!

It'd make for an interesting deviation from the norm because we usually associate the bioluminescent aesthetic with Shadow flight. Personally I'm hoping the Shadow tert gene just turns the dragon to goo because that's like a quarter of Trickmurk Circus accents. So Light flight can have some bioluminescence hahah.
