since the carousel sets dropped i've been thinking on how you could ride breeds based on their general build (size has no meaning here you absolutely cannot ride a spiral if we are following those) these are just my thoughts though people are gonna fight me about not thinking you could ride pearlcatchers

list transcribed, category "Horsey!!!" (meaning you can ride like a horse) has galoers, tundras, snappers, and wildclaws. Category "Yeah, you could" (meaning dragons you COULD ride, though different from a horse) has mirrors, guardians, obelisks, imperials, and abberations. Category "bad for the animal" (meaning that it would hurt the dragon and/or you) has skydancers, Spirals, velispuns, and pearlcatchers. Category "no" (meaning i think you just couldn't, physically) has banescales, cotals, nocturnes, and bogsneaks. Category "stop this tomfoolery" (meaning that i'm very against riding them you would hurt them a lot or hurt you a lot) has faes and ridgebacks.)

tbf if the banescale is big enough you can sit between the spines for a ride... great thing to hold onto
edit none of my banescales are big enough not to say is impossible but a huge one would have enough of a gap and you could hang onto the spine maybe make a saddle of some sort for a stable ride

Also flight patterns and running gaits would probably impact the ability to ride a dragon.
Even for a tiny rider like a Talonok (Fae-sized), I don't think it's good idea to try to ride a flying Spiral dragon unless they want a rollercoaster-like ride since they fly in looping/spiral motions.
Mirror dragons can run up to 50mph which is... scary fast. Do-able but that increases the chance of death from falling off by a lot.
Good tierlist, and absolutely something good to speculate about.

Local Overthinker, He/Him, Pings and notifications are fine.
I just wanna know the reasoning behind putting pearlies on no good for the animal, they are the most horse-like out of all breeds

i think that they have the disadvantage of having the pearl on them and i think that their wings might be netted together/too close for you to sit on them

Why veilspuns aren't in the bottom if some of them are the same size if not smaller than faes

(using the first veilspun that appears in the dragon search as an example)

Ridgies seem very rideable if you are small and sit between the spines
