Sure, the explanation is probably outdated design, but do you guys have any headcanons for this particular mirror and why it looks different?

dragons can look far different than how ours are, so i think they are just a variant like that. sort of like how Scribbles used to be (RIP spade tail) except this time with color.

It's a more detailed version of the small site art, so in my head the banner mirror is actually closer to how mirrors look.

you did a pretty giod job recreating the banner mirror. ther e's a lot of variation from our in game dragons and the official promo art, it's fun to think about the possibilities
As far as I know, most canon NPCs are impossible to recreate to look EXACTLY like they do on the official artwork. To me as an artist it's a kind of liberating thought, that makes me feel like I can be a bit more liberal with my headcanons for dragons' markings, proportions, and so on!
