Does anyone know why there is such a massive price difference between the Twice-Dyed Cowels and the matching Mantles in the AH? They're from the same set, the prices shouldn't be that different from each other, right?

Does anyone know why there is such a massive price difference between the Twice-Dyed Cowels and the matching Mantles in the AH? They're from the same set, the prices shouldn't be that different from each other, right?
The cowl was a downtime item and is retired, I believe, while the mantle can be brewed at baldwin

The cowl was a downtime gift IIRC. The mantle can be gotten any time and isn't limited at all.

the price difference is due to the fact that mantles can be freely brewed at level nine while the cowls were downtime gifts.

The cowl was a downtime gift given out in June 2013. The mantle was added with all the other mantles to match the existing cowls. They match but they're not a 'set'.
