Imagine this dogs sitting pose from the side

Course it doesn't really prove its s natural sitting position for a quadrupede when bulldogs are bred To be so unaturally shaped.
Maybe a horse?

Yeah that's pretty goofy too lol

Okay I'm by no means a dog anatomy expert, but I drew this thing up:

If we're comparing it to dog anatomy, as many do, the leg still doesn't work. I don't think dog legs stretch like that when they're sitting down lol. Maybe a cat, but def not a dog.

Idk about the legs, but at least the dog has a ribcage under its shoulders, unlike the male Tundra which seemingly has no ribcage at all (or it's situated between his shoulders and chin, which.... [emoji=tundra scared size=1])

Old art,bad anatomy
We feel you
the true answer is that it's old art and to fix it now would mean redrawing and recoding every single male tundra apparel item, as well as ruining every skin/accent
the fun answer is tundra arms and legs are where they store their magic so they don't respond to the laws of physics, anatomy, or any god's will

very simply, take the dual tone of a tundra's body and use it to solve the question about its limbs

you can see that the arm is dark orange, while the hind leg and the limb in the background share a lighter orange with the fade near the paw.

along with this quote from Forestwolf which shows an image of a very fluffy dog, it would be understandable that a limb might be obscured due to the tundra's pose

I have never understood the confusion over the male Tundra pose. They are fluffy, like the Newfie pup in the picture, and from the side we just can't see details of their limbs, just like the Newfie. There is literally no issue here.

i rest my Case

I always thought they looked kind of like cows do when they sit down (but a lot fluffier):

or a dog sitting with it's leg stretched out instead of near it's belly:

If they were drawn from the front they'd be 'tilted' to one side which makes it look like their back paws are near their front paws.

what bothers me abt them is the way the tail is lifted, and it looks to me like the rump/haunch isn't actually resting on the ground (like you can tell it's lifted higher than the feet). it looks more like they're squatting than sitting, and w the leg splayed out and the distant front leg presumably lifted, it's a very unnatural pose and it looks like he's about to fall over. if the tail were flat against the ground I think it'd look a lot more like he's actually sitting
