TOPIC | [ic] Eldritch worm subspecies
I had a subspecies idea a while back that I just got around to writing about, was wonderingly if anyone’s got any suggestions/critique?

It would have some illustrations of things, and characters involved, but the basic idea is that a conspiracy theorist got it into their head that most of everyone is probably a giant evil ‘Worm’ and made a guide for evaluating the likelihood that others are worms.

The traits being evaluated are
The three genes, eyes, breed, and extraneous traits (lore things like personality, preferences, and habits)
Each given trait can be categorized as either
Damning (adds 20% likelihood of being a worm)
Incriminating (15%)
Or suspicious (10%)

The lowest possible likelihood would be 50% chance of being a worm, highest would be 120%

Here’s some text

What are Worms?
Worms are a species of netherworldly, shapeshifting creatures who tend to maintain a characteristically elongated, segmented structure. Unlike with their worldly worm counterparts, who are pretty well set in their ways, the *Manifestations of Worms vary greatly in many respects. They may or may not have skeletons, chitin, consciousness, empathy, eyes, jaws, organs, skin, etc. And those attributes which they do have may vary vastly in quantity.
In our world, they generally cloak in order to appear as fairly normal dragons, but they do tend to, as a species, have certain predilections for appearances which make it possible to sniff out the occasional worm in our midst.

Why should you care?
The current hypothesis is that worms eat dragons. Does the esteemed writer of this pamphlet have evidence for this? Perhaps. Not. But it is likely, considering the *similarities between these worms and parasitic worms we are familiar with!
*1 Also known as ‘true appearances
*2 Long

Look to the handy listing below for traits and explanations, add up the percentages to determine the likelihood of someone being a worm!

Primary genes;
20% damning
* Sludge (a guise for eldritch slime! How convenient.)
* Bar (the bars look like fat worms!)
* Crystal (blindingly shiny facets distract from them being a worm)
* Giraffe (a reticulate pattern, subtly symbolizing a web of LIES.)
* Iridescent (convenient cover for subtle color-shifting!)
* Leopard (a pattern of holes, such as those chewed by maggots! A tapestry, a boast of successful infestations!)
* Pinstripe (more like pin-WORM.)
* Ripple (even more web symbolism! But more wormlike.)
* Starmap (remind Worms of the starry expanses of the netherworld and it’s endless multitude of gleaming, empty eyes.)
* Tapir (just a cloak of worms! Distracts from them actually being a worm!)
* Wasp (worms too have segments.)
* Vipera (looks evil to trick you into thinking they cannot be evil and/or a worm. Surely, you think that would be too obvious. But are they evil? Are they a worm? Are they both? Neither? You don’t know. Suspicious either way.)
* Clown ( you laugh at them, amused by their ridiculous markings, only for them to have been a worm all along. Poetic!)
* Jupiter (a carpet of worms forms their flesh, tricking you into thinking that they are in fact many worms when they are just one particularly convoluted Worm!)
15% incriminating
* Falcon (jagged worms, maybe? Unclear.)
* Skink (very long markings. Definitely suspect.)

He/him & they/them
Ooo sounds cool :O
Maybe Spirals would be seen as more likely than other dragons due to how long they already are.
