A mon-lair means just having a single breed. To do this, for example, is to have only mirrors. You can't have even a single fae or tundra if you're going to be a mono-mirror lair. Same goes if you're mono-ridgeback. No skydancers or pearlcatchers if your goal is a mono-ridgeback.

Does mono-element count?
I moved all of my non-Ice dragons to the Hibernation Den when the Den was first released, my Coliseum team are the only exceptions-- they'll be kicked to the Den once my new team has been fully leveled. but for now, they're safe.
