The first ancient breed has released! Just as with bogsneaks, I'm curious about their size and stats (maybe even moreso), so we now also have The Gaoler Census! The guidelines are the same -- don't enter gaolers who are not full size, as their data must be deleted.
Glitched gaolers are less than 4 metres in length. These, and immature gaolers who are less than 20 days old, can not be used in the census.
It seems that 100% of glitched gaolers are those on breeding cooldown. With the glitch, the only person who can see the real size is the owner. Everyone else sees the tiny, incorrect size.
(relatively tiny, they're the same size as modern tundras lol)
If you're seeing the correct size, you're good to submit it!
Even at this early stage, we can already see that they qualify for the large breed category, alongside guardians, ridgebacks, and imperials.
They seem to be just a little smaller than guardians, from what I've seen looking at others' gaolers! They are twice the length and weight ten times as much as the next largest breed, coatl.

• Will you do this for every ancient breed?
For future ancient breeds, I will most likely make a shared spreadsheet, depending on how many they are and how frequently they release.
If there's one ancient breed per element, that means there are still ten to release at some point. For this many, it's much more efficient to have a shared sheet.

Thanks to the great efforts of those managing the Dragon Census and Dragonkind Measures we have a pretty accurate idea of the size ranges Sornieth's dragon denizens can take on. However since both projects appear to have become inactive, the newest breed will probably not included in them; thus, I've made one for Bogs!
With enough dragons recorded, we should be able to find their natural length, wingspan, and weight ranges, and find the biggest and the smallest.
Once there is enough data (250-300 Bogs?), I'm going to add a visual representation of the range (some scaled drawings -- maybe graphs, etc) to the bottom of this post. In time, I will likely also add a scale chart for the average size of every breed compared, like this.
Read on for the important stuff!

Submitting Data
---
- This is obvious, but make sure your dragon’s a bogsneak. Make sure your bogsneak has not had a Bogsneak Breed Change Scroll used on them.
. - Wait until your bogsneak is at least 26 days old. Data from bogsneaks who are not fully grown interferes with the results. Your bogsneak must be fully grown, because these are the stats of adults!
. - Make sure your bogsneak is not on cooldown.
. - If your boggle is above 3.00 metres in length or wingspan, and weighs above 300kg, they are not glitched! Dragons with sizes such as 50kg or 0.55m do have a glitched uncommon size.
. - Fill in the 8-question form and submit it.
That’s all there is to it – repeat with as many of your Bogs as you like! The more measurements accumulated, the more precise the results will be.
I copy the form results into the Bog Census data sheet manually, so there will be a delay in new entries appearing.

What’s up with scrolled and cooldown Bogs?
---
You may already be aware of a glitch that affects Nocturnes; some of them are tiny. Very tiny. Well, Bogsneaks are affected by this glitch as well.
Even the oldest dragon will take on a glitched miniscule size after being changed into a Bogsneak with a scroll, and all Bogsneaks on cooldown – without exception – are affected as well, but only until their cooldown ends. Breed-changed Bogsneaks will also have their size change on cooldown, but revert back to the first glitched state after it ends.
As a result, information on length, wingspan, and weight from these affected Bogsneaks is unreliable for getting statistics on the breed as a whole. They’re far outside the normal range (smaller than one hour old hatchlings) and cannot be counted.
If your dragon is a natural-hatched Bogsneak, you need only wait until their cooldown is over: mature (26+ days old) Bogsneaks who were not scrolled and are not on cooldown are the only ones who have reliable length/wings/weight stats.

Righto. Anything else?

How is data entered?
Bogsneak data is entered into a separate sheet (not visible atm) and must be manually pasted into the data in the main sheet; because of this it will not show up immediately, but won't take long regardless as I can access and edit the sheet when AFK as well. Each Bogsneak's data is on a separate row, so I cross it out after I've pasted it into the Census sheet. This way I know exactly which ones have been entered and am unlikely to miss any.
Is the Bogsneak Census affiliated with the Dragon Census?
They are not connected at all, aside from this one being inspired by the Dragon Census and its wealth of info, which currently (14/10) appears to be inactive and thus can't take Bogsneak data.
How reliable is the data?
The accuracy of the information in the summary page relies on the accuracy of the data admitted through the form; mistakes there will show up as mistakes here until removed. Ideally, people will enter their Bog's info as they see it, but typos happen, so if anything seems off I'll check it.Typos will be verified and fixed (e.g 160kg instead of 610kg) and any abnormally small Bogs -- glitched to about 1.5m length -- will be verified and removed.
I think I found an error/glitch/bug in the sheet!
If you see anything going wonky with the spreadsheet (something that looks like a glitch, I guess) let me know! I probably made a typo that messed up one of the formulas when I was making it (I hadn't slept in three days)
Can I ask something?
